—Hug, kiss, or slap meme—
Send me a (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ to get a hug, a kiss, or a slap, depending on what my muse thinks you deserve.
A slap was most definitely not one of the options that the frozen boy dared to consider for Mortis. He instead focused on the ones that were left, a hug or a kiss.
Well, he was definitely growing more fond of the overgrown vulture. It was nice to have someone willing to stay around him despite how drawling and how blunt he was. Maybe he was worth the time of others, after all.
A kiss would be quick, definitely. And it would get the point across, too, wouldn’t it? A hug seemed much more intimate to him. Embracing someone else, using the torso and arms? Too close, too much contact. A kiss.
Joel floated up slightly to press his lips chastely against the tip of Mortis’s beak, his eyes closing as he remained for only a second and then let his feet rest back down on the earth.
Mortis’ eyes cross to watch Joel as he floats up in front of him and his chilly lips press to the end of his beak. Blinking rapidly Mortis watches the other float back down to the ground, his face blushing a darker shade of blue as he chuckles lightheartedly, “Ah! What an unexpected act from you, Bluebird..!”
Reaching up he touches the still cold spot and grins at Joel a bit shyly, “Might I ask the reasoning of this…?”
"Well," the spirit began softly, "I didn't think a slap would be appropriate, considering how kind you've been to me." His gaze was thoughtful, but averted from Mortis's eyes. "And hugs are much too intimate--a lot of touching for prolonged periods of time. I don't think I could carry that one out, very well."
After a moment of silence, he returned his eyes to meet Mortis's. "So, a kiss seemed like the quickest, most painless option. For the both of us. Don't you think?"
