“Ouch!”Auburn said, but throwing her arms up like she meant to that.”That went totally the way I wanted it too.”
“what in the world just happened?” joey asked. he could feel the air shift around him, but couldn’t tell exactly what happened.

carter.
“i got a B on my last test so i really need to study right now… but what’s up?? what do you need?? i’d be happy to help.”
“who the hell complains about getting a b on a test? i’ll happily trade my grades with yours then you can explain to your parents why your highest grade is a d+.”
dot.
“Brrr,it’s kinda chilly for Valentine’s Day.”Dot said, rubbing her bare arms.”I am super excited for the dance though.”
“i wouldn’t get your hopes up about the dance. it’s probably going to suck.”
mollie.
Seeing Joey on the other side of the door had a grin splitting her face. She’d just spent the whole morning unpacking her belongings and setting aside the presents she’d bought. His disheveled hair and chubby cheeks were a blessing to look at compared to various scripts, knowing he never came without a plan. “What do I owe this lovely visit?” She teased, leaving forward to grasp his shirt and gently tug it so he knew it was safe to step forward. “This doesn’t happen to have anything to do with that crazy plot you had last time, does it?” She asked, remembering when they’d gone out to eat and despite the fact that Mollie didn’t mind paying for the slightly expensive food, he went down on one knee and pulled out a ring pop. For some reason the whole restaurant had gone crazy speaking of how cute they were and how fortunate she was to have such a loving boyfriend—now fiance—and ended up with free food. It had been clever on his part but she still couldn’t believe others had fallen prey to their act.
it was always nice to be able enjoy life even though joey didn’t get along with the majority of the people at the wda. it made him happy to know that he could find friends within the people here and even more happier to know that there were people he could pull a few pranks with, like mollie. just her voice had joey smiling and leaning against the frame of the door. he had no doubt that she would turn away from one of his offers, whether it be from the fact that he was good at persuading people or that he always ended up landing the two of them something free - like how last time it was free food at an expensive restaurant that he got them food. most places were easy to trick as long as you looked like you were in love with the person besides you. “oh no, this does have to do with a crazy plot. rumor has it there’s this new aquarium in the next town over that doesn’t charge you until you leave the place depending on how many hours you’re there. wanna join me in going? i’m pretty sure we can leave without paying a dime.”
athena.
“I don’t know how things like that make it on tv. I guess they’re really lacking filters these days,” she said with a shrug, placing the remote in his hand.
“neither do i honestly. it’s dumb, it’s stupid, and it scams people out of all their money.” with the remote in his hand, joey only nodded his head in her direction before changing the channel to catdog. “thanks, i hate to burden you, but since it’s on a commercial, can you tell me what’s on this channel for the next two hours?”
i should be on later tonight. playing guitar hero and eating mexican food
OMG I LAUGHED TOO HARD.

joey,
so… i’m joining s.h.i.e.l.d.’s special training programme, which means i’m not gonna be at wda anymore. think of it as a school transfer only much more kickass *shades emoji*.
okay but really.
don’t stay angry at the world. I tried, and for ages, people fucking hated me. people STILL hate me, but that’s beside the point. what matters is that i’m happier now because I have people I love. you do, too. like me, for example. you’re amazing, joey, and have so much potential. don’t let anyone shit on you, alright? punch anyone who tries to stop you.
thank you for not seeing me as others do. ignoring the obvious ironic connotations to that sentence. I mean it.
though you don’t have your sight, joey bear, you have something a lot of other people in this world don’t. you've got heart. integrity. you’ve got a fight in you. don’t lose it.
don’t forget about me, alright grillo? i’ll come and find you. see you later. all my love.
jenny.
Unappreciative of the sarcasm, Jen just stared him down with a master-level bitch face until he actually posed a genuine question. “I’m not really sure what you expect from me. Like, do you think just because we are sharing a bottle alone and out of earshot from everyone that we can confess to each other our troubles like we are at some sort of sorority sleep-over? Personally, that’s all a little too touchy-feely for me. I propose this- we pretend that there isn’t actually anything bothering us and making us separate ourselves from the gaggle of geese inside, and just enjoy each other’s company…” Jen’s eyes flicked the boy up and down “…if possible.”
“stop talking for a few moments won’t you. i never asked you for you’re life story, or for you to tell me about your shitty ass excuse for not hanging out with people. i don’t care why you’re doing this. i don’t care about that at all. i am slightly in love with psychology and i asked what made you go out here by yourself. a simple answer like ‘me’ or ‘nothing’ would've suffice.” joey let out a rude little scoff before he shook his head, pushing himself up from his spot. “sorry. i just bum alcohol off of rude little girls who only think of themselves. i don’t actually want to sit down and enjoy your company if all you’re going to do is avoid my questions.”
adelaide.
“my panties are perfectly straight, actually.” adelaide looked down at her hands after the zap occurred. “now how do you know that wasn’t the remote?”
“the air currents changed. they wouldn’t have done that if it was with the remote--- not that much anyways.”
jenny.
“You realize that the reason I came out here was to get away from people, right?” she asked, staring him down as he approached. When he sat down, she had to bite back another scathing remark, which seemed a lot easier to do when intoxicated. For some reason, rather than being extremely uptight and bitchy, Jen actually was a little bit more mellow. “Aren’t you, like, fifteen? Why are you here, anyway?” she asked, handing over the bottle, regardless.
“congrats. you’re not the only one who wanted to get away from people. plus it’s not like i just followed you either--- we just so happen to be in the same place at the same time.” a small shrug of his shoulders joey could feel the bottle being moved, and closer to him too, so he took it upon himself to think that she was indeed offering it to him. “who cares how old i am? i don’t-- so you shouldn’t either.” he retaliated, before bringing the bottle up to his lips and tilting his head back the slightest bit. the taste was bitter and it only stung his throat for a moment before he brought the bottle away, holding it out back to the girl. “what about you though? what’s making you want to be all alone tonight?”
camille.
“Who in their right mind would actually want to do that? It seems like such a waste of money.”
“stupid people. that’s who. at least you understand that. other people have been telling me i’m heartless ‘cause of it.”
jenny.
“Oh shut up,” Jen looked away from (your character) and back to the bottle slowly getting more and more empty in her hands. Sitting out in the dark and the cold, Jen shivered as she watched a lone firework explode somewhere off. “New Year’s Eve is the one time that I should be able to get completely wasted without having to feel guilty about it, so your disappointed staring isn’t necessary right now.”
“i think it’s sad that you think i’m disappointed in you.” joey said with his arms crossed over his chest as he shifted his weight to one of his legs. he was standing there, looking down at the girl but in no way did he care that she was drinking. “i don’t care if you’re going to get wasted,” he replied quickly, moving his arms so that he could allow himself to safely plop down in front of her in a criss-cross position. “i do care that if you share a little of what you have with me, i promise you won’t regret it.”
roxie.
Roxie exited the practise room, batting dust off of her leather jacket as she did. She had just finished perfecting particular aspects of her ability, and had destroyed part of the wall - but the school could fix it. The place was loaded. Glancing up, Roxie caught someone’s eye and, with a shrug, said coyly, “Happy New Year?"
outside. joey needed to get outside and fast. getting angry at his therapy session was normal and so far this was only the second time that joey had stormed out of the small room with his fire emitting from his palms. he was irritated about the fact that the counselor thought his letter to his mom wasn’t needed and would never reach it. it was foolish for the old geezer to say that seeing as joey knew so much about magic and how it treated the good people well. he was sure that even though he didn’t know where his mom was, magic would be able to take his letter to her-- and his brother. “-----what?” joey asked, his head nearly jerking to the voice that he heard. “i’m sorry?” the irritation was evident in his voice, but it didn’t register to him that he was talking to roxie.
( @daisymaeporter )
“i know this may be a little bit sudden, but would you be up for a roadtrip with me? i can’t go by myself but i can’t really see myself being able to sit in a car with anyone else for several hours.”
( @fckmollie )
it was not out of the blue for joey to want to eat, it was honestly not out of the blue for anyone actually--- everyone needed to eat. but it was only today that joseph grillo was fancying something more expensive than the cafeteria food, he wanted something that costed more than a whole weeks of junkfood and it was during this craving that he knew just the person to go to. so as he stood there, banging on the blonde girl’s door, joey hoped for two things. one; that he would not run into his friend’s god awful roommate and two; that she would be up for some grub.
athena.
Athena’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion at the boys statement. “How do you symbolically adopt something? That’s like buying something and never receiving it, it doesn’t make sense.” Athena saw something peaking out of the cushion, and pulled on it. Out came the remote, putting a smile on her face. “Here it is!”
“that’s what i’m saying. the people just want money so that they can blow it all on something else for themselves.” joey rolled his eyes, holding out his hand for the remote. he didn’t usually pay attention to the people, or air rather, around him when he was on frustrating topics.
