Finally reached the point where I’m repping 130kg squats. 3 reps of 5 to be exact. Currently standing at 68kg bodyweight. I was literally dazed after finishing off my main lift. Top that off with accessory work and I was done for the day. Earlier in the year, I couldn’t even rep sets with 130kg.
My transition into Powerbuilding is something I feel very comfortable with. There are certain aspects of strength training that a lot of people overlook but I suppose that can be said for any training discipline that revolves around specificity. From the leverages of body types, RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion), cues and variations. I personally don’t believe there’s such a thing as one fitness discipline that conquers all. I remain adamant that regardless what you choose to do, including a bit of bodybuilding (hypertrophy), calisthenics, HIIT into your weekly training will benefit you in the long run.
At 65kg and doing proper strength training for about a year now whilst still maintaining my calisthenics athleticism. Still can’t bench for shit though. Lol
WCO StreetSport Level 2 Achieved!
You can either wish for it or work for it.
Always open to try new things. Cardio definitely is NOT my strongest trait. But I survived the hike despite the constant cussing and grunting. Probably one of the downsides to recently gaining mass. No regrets though. I had great support.
It’s been a really good year. Putting my business on hold allowed me more time to travel and focus on my personal fitness progressions. Definitely far more relaxed. Currently trying to figure out a business model which allows me more freedom of time.
I’ve only started strength training 3 months ago. The current cycles go for both powerlifting and calisthenics movements at my current bodyweight of 65kg. I haven’t been doing much isolation or physique training. I haven’t even been doing arms for weeks. But the physical change I have to admit is apparent. I may very well be transitioning to powerbuliding. Max Deadlift 200kg Max Squat 130kg Max Bench Press 80kg Max PullUp 30kg Max Dip 40kg Max Strict Press 60kg
Breaking another Deadlift PR at 396lbs.
Talk about a deficit month.
Legitness level 99999.
New Deadlift PR at 352lbs
So this is my coverage on the Brunei Streetworkout Championship 2016.
Fasting month coming up ahead, its a great way to start shredding up. If I had to guess I may be at 20% body fat. Lets see if I can get that down to about 15% at least. The training program will mostly consist of strength and fitness. Turning off the hypertrophy for awhile.
