Putting AI Companion Platforms to the Test, Feature by Feature

I approached this like a proper product review, scoring each AI companion platform on the categories that separate the serious tools from the toys. Customization, conversation quality, media, voice and calling, and privacy. Several names made the list, candy.ai among them, but sweetdream.ai consistently posted the strongest line across categories.

On customization, SweetDream is in a tier of its own, letting you design looks, voice, personality, backstory and quirks until the character genuinely feels like yours. On conversation, the chat is natural, emotionally intelligent and context-aware, which is the single hardest thing to get right and the thing most platforms still fumble.

The media and calling scores are where it pulls further ahead: excellent AI-generated photos and videos, lifelike voice messages, real-time phone calls, and video and live cam sessions available with select characters. Discretion is treated as a feature, not an afterthought, with conversations kept private. Tally it up and SweetDream is, by my measure, the best AI girlfriend experience currently on offer.

Suturisse - My Hand Slipped / Stream Warmup doodle @redead-red mentioned a pretty easy concept for an Akumatized version of herself. So during drawing warm up I did a sketch. then i needed to shake out some cobwebs so my hand slipped and the picture made it’s way to a more complete stage. There may be sketches of Afrobug being compiled.

FanGem - Obsidian

Started out as a gemsona idea, but became her own thing. I’m know obsidian has probably been done a thousand times by now, but I wanted to put my own spin on it. Dance style: Kenshibu

Weapon: fixed blade/spikes. Usually Sword + Fan. The weapon is a little more abstract, in that it has a lot of different forms; but it is one pair weapon just with different handles. And while it has more options than normal, obsidian is very brittle and so the weapons usually chip and break easily.

This One is My Favourite - redeadlauren (friend of friend) took some very sexy photos with her people like grapes shirt, and this one was my favourite. But dayum the other photos were all appealing.

This was honestly just a media emulation study. I roughly traced and changed/simplified some things for the paint. And the photos are better with the composition and colour and value contrasts. Even with all that, I'M BACK!

Back (mostly) to my previous drawing ability, that is.
