Some pictures from Anime Blues Con Remix in Southaven, Mississippi today. I went as Jonathan Lanier, my original twist on 2p America. I saw a couple other Hetalians, but sadly didn't get pictures with most of them... [ Jon is not one to cut corners when heās working, so he takes his time upstairs to make sure every inch of carpet is cleaned, and even goes about lining up some books and dusting off a couple shelves before he starts back downstairs and leans against the entrance to the kitchen.]

[Aaron certainly appreciates it. As much as he hates to cut corners, his house is huge and he can only do so much.]
[As Jonathan likely knows, Aaronās quite fond of music; thereās rarely ever a time when a radio isnāt playing to fill silence, orāif heās not workingāplaying an instrument himself. Itās unlikely much of a surprise to find Aaronās singing along to the radio he has playing, and so he doesnāt notice Jonathan approaching until he hears the otherās voice]
Ah, Iāve got it. Itās about done, if youād like to grab a couple plates. Donā need utensils, unless you just donāt want your hands dirty.
[Heās fried up some chicken and fries]
[ Music which Jon hadn't been able to hear while he was upstairs, but now that he's down here he's just nodding vaguely with the tune before stilling. ] Smells good.
[ He soon trots on into the kitchen and grabs a couple plates and napkins, as well as fixing the two of them generous glasses of iced sweet tea. ]

[Heāll offer a bright grin and hurriedly card fingers through his hair to set it back in place before trotting off to go get those chores done.]
[Truthfully, if he were able he would like to do more cleaning so Jonathan wouldnāt have to, but he prefers his lungs not arguing with him and being able to breathe] You know I will!
[He chuckles, taking a moment or two to decide what to make before getting to work]

I promise I'm alive- I had to get all my Finals done and then go to my sister's graduation (she got her Masters' degree in exercise science!) and then it was my birthday and I spent the whole weekend with my dad at Gettysburg, but now I'm back in Arkansas and chilling- I just gotta finish my Secret Santa bit for the Hetalia Rarepair exchange, then I'll get one replies.
[ A sharp nod and the lad leaned forward to down the last of his tea. ] Sinks and tiles. Got it. Iāll have that much done soon. [ He offered a light smile and, using his cane as support and leverage, pulled himself to his feet. ] Relax, love. Iāll take care of it.
[Aaron gives him a thankful smile, though he chuckles softly when Johnny tells him to relax. When does he ever?] You know I canāt help but worry.
[But he certainly isnāt going to do nothing while Johnny works, and he pushes himself up slowly as if old or in pain, though he seems a little better once heās actually on his feet] Thank you again, dear. Why donā I make us something to eat? [He doesnāt know the last time Johnny ate, and wellā¦Aaron had a bad habit of forgetting it himself]

When the subject of history is taken, the one who lost so rarely gets to tell their side. The instance of the civil war is by far no exception. Why he even kept such books, that painted he, himself, in such a deeply villainous light, was anyone's guess. Perhaps he reads it, it remind himself, or perhaps to tease his inner demons with thoughts of revenge..
Ah, but in any case, nearing his fifth hour of sleep that was hardly restful, the lad began to stir, slowly stretching himself out, but not quite moving to sit up.

Its Sunday, the thought rings in the lad's mind for a few seconds, and soon enough he disregards the idea of even trying to get ready for church, just to collapse on the couch, shotgun laid across the coffee table, safety on, of course, and just filter into sleep. He'll be waking up in several hours, around noon, but until then, he's rather soundly asleep, but far from peacefully.
