BSV UPDATE: This morning, I was involved in a serious traffic accident. I am physically unharmed, and of the three vehicles affected, mine received the least damage - though the damage is extensive. I was barely involved except to have been hit by the aftermath of another wreck. The other two vehicles hit each other nearly head-on, and one of them ricocheted hard into the side of my van as I made a right turn onto the road where the incident took place. I caught the entire event on my dash cam and I am fully insured, so I have no worries about being found to be at fault or in the wrong in any way. However, this situation will undoubtedly be a hindrance to me in terms of time, money, and progress on the van and the BSV project in general. Best case scenario: they’re able to replace some parts, bend the rest back into place, and let me get on with it. Worst case scenario: the whole thing gets scrapped and I have to start all over. Although this definitely sucks for me, I am grateful to have incurred such a relatively small misfortune in the face of what may well have been real tragedy for at least one of the others involved. My heart goes out to them and their families. Once I am able to contact them, I will share more details about the accident and look into creating GoFundMe accounts to help with their expenses, at which point, I will share that information here as well.
