We are all equally human
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character-Martin Luther King, Jr. There are different types of discrimination, discrimination against oneās skin color, race, gender, religion and social status. This is a common problem all around the world.
Discrimination has a crippling effect on in its victims. They have to adjust to societyās impossibly high standards at the expense of their character. Dark skinned people will find ways to have a lighter skin color, poor people will pretend to be rich to make friends and people even deny their religion to escape shame. All that just to be treated equally as everyone else by society. This is just one of the effects of discrimination on people.
Do these people really have to subject themselves to so much unwanted change? We should feel empathy for these people and change ourselves instead of changing them. Change our perspective instead of forcing them to change theirselves. To treat them as equals and give them all the respect they need.
