((JohnThisIsMyNote)) "Mummy's taken my cigarettes, and I'm out of money for more..."
"What do you expect me to do about it?"
"I want another pack, and it’s your fault she caught us smoking."
"Fine," Mycroft sighed, fishing in his pocket for the new pack he’d bought this morning to hand to his brother. He’d have to pick up a new one on his way home.
He took them with a smile, tilting his head. “You really should quit..” He noted, searching his pockets for a match or lighter.
"Guilty pleasures." Mycroft smiled thinly at his brother. "Perhaps if you smoked low tar, Mother would not find it necessary to take them from you."
"I doubt even you believe that."

(JohnThisIsMyNote) Sherlock brushed past Anthea, and right into Mycrofts empty at the moment office, immediately going towards the drawers of his desk.
"Excuse me, Sherlock, just what do you think you’re doing?"
"He doesn’t compliment anyone often."
"We have a rather unique relationship."
"Oh yeah?..." He paused. "You could always quit. Come help me instead. Much more interesting. And I'm sure john wouldn't mind.."
(JohnThisIsMyNote) Sherlock brushed past Anthea, and right into Mycrofts empty at the moment office, immediately going towards the drawers of his desk.
"Excuse me, Sherlock, just what do you think you’re doing?"
He actually was Interested. He didn’t spend much time caring about how his brother interacted with others. Especially with those he was “close” to. “And when does he feel the need?”
She huffed before rolling her eyes. “When I do something he sees as stupid.” She said simply.
He paused, but he couldn’t contain himself. “So pretty much everything? He’s a very judgmental man..”
She shrugged. “More often than not he’s complimenting me on a job well done.”
He looked surprised. “I’m surprised.”
She paused, raising an eyebrow. “Why is that?”
"He doesn't compliment anyone often."

He shrugs. “It’s true though..” He didn’t understand why that could be offensive.
She raised an eyebrow. “Stop there or you will regret it.” She wasn’t in the mood to hear it.
"I don’t understand why you want me to lie."
"Because hearing it from your brother is more than enough."
"Oh? Does he being it up often?"
"Only when he feels the need to."

"It’s been mentioned before.." He muttered.. "Mycroft always blamed me for everything though. She’d usually believe him."
"Parents tend to have a favourite." She reasoned. "My parents typically always went with my little brother’s side."
"Well maybe it only helped to harbor the amnesty, hmm? I might not have grown such a.. Conflict with my brother otherwise."
"I’m done trying to understand what went wrong between the two of you as kids. Honestly, you both are strange men."
"Perhaps you’re the strange one.. Just because my brain fictions faster than yours.."
"Don’t start with the ‘smart that you’ lecture. I will gag you with your own scarf."
He shrugs. "It's true though.." He didn't understand why that could be offensive.

"What is he worrying about? Doesn’t he have enough to be concerned about.."
"You’re his little brother, you are a higher priority."
"I’m also the brother he tried to sell to visiting monks when I was nine.."
"Might have done you some good. Maybe he was looking out for you."
"Selling me to a monk would have helped me?"
"It could have taught you something."
"You’re saying that to try and make his actions reasonable.. The monk almost agreed until mummy found out.."
"I do typically get paid to justify your brother’s actions. Has anyone mentioned that your mother is a saint for raising you both?"
"It's been mentioned before.." He muttered.. "Mycroft always blamed me for everything though. She'd usually believe him."
