No bracelet. Still, didnât mean Wash could trust him. âWash,â he replied plainly. He still wasnât sure what to make of this John character. Intimidating, to be sure, but he had no idea what he could want to talk with him about. âSo, if youâre not roping me into a useless real estate investment, what do you want with me?â He raised a brow. âIâm just a harmless little gamer, after all.â
âI know who you are,â John said ruggedly, his focus more so on those in the coffee shop than Wash himself. John had a way about him to have eyes all over the place, and that wasnât to say they were all his. There were plenty of others who kept tabs too, and most of the time everyone doing they spying were usually somehow partnered into the same organization. What John stood for? Sometimes he wasnât sure. All that was certain was he was hungry for one thing in this town; power. And he would do anything to get his hands on it or around its neck.
âI want to talk to you about a group of people with like minds,â he again nodded to the others bare arm. âThereâs a lot more of us than you think, kid. We still need all the help we can get.â
