Destroying the Grand Plan
So, our group (me, Barbarian, Paladin and Sorcerer) entered tha final room of the enemy base, and are informed about the big undead sitting on a throne up the stairs. Next to it, there are bow and arrows on one side, and a great sword on the other. Me, being a good (chaotic neutral) Warlock, upon getting threatened by him, insult him back, obviously with Vicious Mockery. That only made him angrier.
DM: so the encounter starts, and the guy stands up from his throne to cast a spell. Two skeletons climb to this place, one from each side.
Sorcerer: I come closer to the stairs leading to the throne, and I cast Mage Hand, and- AND, I use one of my sorcery points for Twinned Spell, so I have two Mage Hands, and I just- *and proceeds to mimic just moving things apart from each other*
DM, after a long pause: The big undead is so baffled that his eyebrows just leave the atmosphere, and he just sits back being angry about it.
Ultimately he tried to deal with us using just his bare hands and we all nearly died laughing at the table because “It was such a well planned encounter in which he could use one weapon or the other if we got rid of either of those and the Sorcerer just ruined it all.”
