“In the last two years, Lesser has worked with a digital collage technique, designing graphics and backgrounds by computer that he prints and recomposes into works that you can check out here and here. But he felt something was missing: the expressiveness of a human touch. And so he veered more steadily towards further abstraction, adding a physical interface to the process. A scanner with which to acquire printed graphic elements and transfer them on canvas or deformed vinyl.After generating and printing a color palette the creative part begins, with the meditative dimension of painting but still connected to digital forms: from a single palette Lesser elaborates numerous variations he then picks from and scans.”
