I Don’t Know About You But...
I don’t know about you but....., it seems to me that we as #people, or #humans, can get easily confused by what we see on the news, what we hear being said, and what we idealistically desire in this life today, right now, in our #world, and even in what we want for future generations.
I’ve been seeing a lot of fear being expressed by people through their words, harsh actions, and bad choices. I’ve seen we, as humans, including myself, demanding that change must take place, often looking toward leaders and Government officials and agencies to be the ones to “make the changes”. I have decided to stop looking outside of myself for these changes to take place and taken a good, hard, look inward! I asked myself a question, “What happened to [We the People]. Am I waiting for a better leader, a better government, a better circumstance, a better etc.??? I decided that I was completely missing the whole picture! And maybe the answer!
The answer I have discovered is in the words themselves. They are a strong and courageous statement! “We the People...” We can choose to be afraid, be angry, complain about what isn’t right and what needs to change, OR, we can BE THE PEOPLE!!! You see, it is quite simple and yet quite profound! Have we forgotten who we are???
Here is my challenge! I start with me first! I say to myself, “I AM the People”! I wake up each morning and I say it! I then, acknowledge that I can step-out in love, in courage, and in hope, and I can make a difference in my home, my community, my town/city, my state, my country, my world! Seriously, what if “We, the People...” decided that every morning we committed to doing just this! What do you think could happen???
I don’t know about you, but, I see a revolution of “change”! I see hope, love, and goodness! I see possibilities! Let’s be free! Let’s be brave! Let’s be human and humane! Let’s BE THE PEOPLE!
