Ok the MDZS audio drama just DESTROYED ME.  I’ve been putting off listening to the end for…IDEK emotional reasons.  But I needed something to knit to so I started ep 3x13.  And…

THE DRAMATIZED VERSION OF LAN WANGJI SAVING WEI WUXIAN FROM NIGHTLESS CITY, CONFRONTING THE ELDERS, AND HIS PUNISHMENT.

HOLY FUCK.  They came for all of our lives like that.  

And, Lan Xichen getting so FUCKING ANGRY with Wei Wuxian for not realizing Lan Wangji’s feelings, like, I’m sorry, I JUST watched the end of CQL and it doesn’t come close to touching this.  Novel canon, with the explicit acknowledgement of the romance, is SO MUCH STRONGER for it.  Wei Wuxian panicking, desperate to make it right, once he learns everything Lan Wangji did for him, everything he feels for him.  OMG.  I can’t.  I’m ded of feels.

Help.

The audio drama is HONESTLY the most flawless version of canon.  I mean, look I love Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo and everyone from CQL, I do.  But you cannot beat the way things were meant to play out, without censorship interfering.  I’m deeply grateful for what CQL gave us, but it could have been SO MUCH.

So yeah, if we were to take the nativity as a scientific story, a parthenogenic human pregnancy (still a scientific impossibility) would result in an AFAB child, and since that child has always been referred to as “he”, voila, trans jesus.

Actually, I think that depends on species? Like, New Mexico whiptail lizards are an entirely female all-parthenogensis all-the-time species, but Komodo dragon parthenogensis always results in males because their chromosome determination is different.

OMG I had the same thought before turning 18! I felt like I wasn't protected anymore, I a way. And that I spent so any years of my life waiting to become "an adult" and it felt like I was going 200 km/h, but when I suddenly wanted to stop the brakes didn't work anymore and I could only go straight with the same speed... I can totally relate to his feelings. It's not a big thing at all, bit I'd like to go back being a minor again at times, because it felt like I suddenly had to remove headphones with sweet music. And once you see things for real, when you actually face reality, you can't "un-see" them anymore. I don't know why I'm suddenly so emotional, but this made me remember what I thought before my 18th b-day lol
