Mattea’s enthusiasm had Emma laughing, “Well, we can do most of those things, but I don’t know if your parents would be okay with coming home to a new pet. Especially since you’ve already got Cerberus,” ey told her, brushing a few strands of hair away from her face so she could see properly.
“But we can bake, watch a movie, play, and read a book. Sound good? You can even pick whatever you’d like to do, and we’ll do that,” she explained with a smile, booping her nose.
Ey didn’t mind doing a bunch of things – she’d expected to do a bunch of things, with how much energy the little girl always had – so long as Mattea was happy. And safe, but that was a given. Ey weren’t about to put the girl in danger in any way while babysitting.
“Which should we do first? I think baking would be the best to do first, since we can do another thing while the oven’s going, but we don’t have to if you’d rather start with something else,” ey wondered, arching a brow.
mattea had to think about that. she loved cerberus very much because he was a good, happy puppy, but also he would be lonely! maybe not super lonely, since it was like three puppies in one, but still! maybe a bunny or kitty or extra puppy would make cerberus happy!
“okay,” she agreed, all too eager to spend her evening with emma. “maybe we can bake and while baking we can play and then we can eat whatever we bake and then we can have a tea party and last we can watch a movie. and then before bed you can read me a book?? yes?? maybe??”
she beamed up at em, pulling away from the hug so she could flap her happy, happy hands. “how long is mama and daddy staying out?? if they stay out late, maybe we will have time to adopt another pet before they get back! also maybe i can eat another pastry after i’ve brushed my teeth for the night! you won’t tell them, right?? right?????”
