are we happy now?—"should i listen to my heart when my head’s like, i could do better."
muse a and muse b have been in a committed relationship for awhile now. muse b believes them to be incredibly happy while muse a is beginning to get a little bored of the relationship. it feels routine to them, and each attempt at trying to liven up the passion that was once between them never helps them in feeling what they once felt. muse b isn’t worried about it too much, saying to muse a that it’s typical for couples to grow a little tired of the same thing every once and awhile. muse b is confident that muse a will get over whatever bump it is they’re going through and see that this relationship is the best thing for them. but muse a isn’t as sure as muse b is. muse a knows for a fact that they love muse b with everything in them; but love is slowly becoming not enough to keep them together.
bitter and the sweetness—"like the time we got stuck out in the rain, when you took my hand said baby we should stay."
muse a and muse b are dirt poor. they reside in a tiny shack of an apartment with little to no furniture and sometimes go without food. they steal the basic necessities they need to survive when they have no other choice, and are constantly arguing about where the other is spending the money they earned. despite the difficulty between them, and throughout the hard times they face, they remain hopelessly in love with each other. muse a is always there to pluck up some flowers for muse b when they know they’ve had a bad day; while muse b is constantly there to ensure muse a that they were going to be okay.
carry me home—"same words don’t know what they mean, but i know you belong with me."
oh no muse a has gone and did it now. after months of on an on and off relationship with muse b, muse a has finally called it quits between the two. and instantly regrets it. but what they don’t realize is that muse b is okay with the decision muse a has made. in fact, muse b is delighted, they’re going out more, branching out their social circle a little more, and has no interest in playing in further games with muse a. but muse a is certain that if they get together again it will be for the last time. muse b is skeptical of the way muse a is continuously making promises because muse b has heard it all before. but muse a is determined to get muse b back because they know muse b still loves them just as much as muse a loves muse b. but muse b is far too scared of admitting how right muse a is.
