John Pitcairn is underrated
Codextober 2021
Day 9: Historical
Born in Scotland in 1722, Pitcairn joined the Naval Service at the age of 23 and was stationed in Canada during the French and Indian War serving as a captain of Marines. He arrived in Boston in 1774 and the next year was one of the leading officers of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, which marked the start of the American Revolution. Two months later in June, Pitcairn was killed in action during the Battle of Bunker Hill. Considered one of the most respected British officers by both his men and the colonists, he was buried at the Old North Church in Boston.

Braddock: Why aren’t the dishes in alphabetical order!?
Pitcairn: What does that even mean???
"Joooooooooohn! My good fellow!" *hic* (looks as though the Grand Master's had one too many this time...)
John blinked in surprise at his grandmaster, looking as if he'd just seen a horse bark. He was quite uncertain - and quite surprised - by Haytham's rather loud, drunken exclamation. That was not like him at all. "Sir? Are you alright? You look as if ye've been hitting the bottle a touch too hard."
There's a keen peering for a good several moments. Eyes squinted as if contemplating something grand, or more likely, drunk and trying to get the other's frame to stop sliding about. A purse of lips, and Hickey finally says, "...why d'ye speak in cursive?" | ( henlo. forgive me. i had to. XD )
John gave his Templar comrade a bland look - entirely unsurprised by his drunken state. "William is worse," he pointed out. "Sit down fool, before ya fall and crack yer head open." (I NEED A HICKEY IN MA LIFE LIKE I NEED AIR)
