Sulu putting a plaque up in the botany lab that says “PLEASE DO NOT GENDER THE PLANTS”
step one: buy seeds
step two: grow flowers
step three: provide safe home for bees
step four: kiss a cute girl
step five: rule the world
Reasons why you should have plants in your room
- More clean air
- People think you are cool
- They look pretty
- You can sing to them and they won’t tell you to shut up
- You feel proud when they grow
- You can give them cute names
- pLAnTs
Cons: They might grow and conspire to kill you and your friends after convincing you to let it eat a dentist.
I don’t know if any of you listen to the rwby soundtrack but ‘Mirror Mirror (White Trailer)’ is just so excalibur!verse it’s not even funny

ok so just a few things about excalibur rp
the sideblogs will hopefully start to get more active since I've followed someone from Uni (thanks Charlie) who likes reblogging hipster shit and puppies (so now Ellie and Luke (maybe even Jones and T'Paila) will have new material about the new puppies/kittens w/e, and Apollo will have actual hipster stuff to reblog)
in terms of WHAT will be reblogged by each, I guess it'd be something like-
Luke: memes and updates on puppies/kittens,
Ellie: cute animals, Tom Hiddleston,
Apollo: space and hipstery things (tattoos? I won't go out my way to find it but I'll reblog the stuff on my dash, sure),
Subhash: doesn't use the internet much anyway, but will use it for communication (so rp stuff mostly, if not, maybe video games???)
Maureen: fashion that pops up on my dash,
T'Paila: flowers/nature, plant inventory updates,
Jonesie: mostly rp stuff
Luke Harris now has Tyler Seguin as a face claim!
Debating a new face claim for T'Paila (Jessica Brown Findlay instead of Anna Popplewell?)
ADDENDUM to previous MEMO
To anyone in doubt; that last memo was not a joke.

Memo to All: Does anyone want a puppy or a kitten?
This may seem like an odd question, hypothetical or not, for a Lieutenant to ask a crew on a Starship, but hear me out.
After some sort of incident that Luke refuses to tell me about- don't even think it, Mister, I know it was your fault- we down at the Xenobot labs (yes, us. Again.) have roughly 18 assorted kittens and puppies that need caretakers asap, as the environment they're staying in at the moment is slightly too hazardous.
If anyone's interested, feel free to contact me :)
Lt. R Jones
"Well, I’m glad you didn’t, that just would have made a huge commotion and been a massive headache to deal with. Especially if anyone currently there has pet allergies."
"H-huh?" Kitty looked back up at Ruth, a bit startled by the qustion. "Umm, I don’t, I don’t know."
Ruth nodded, completely unconvinced that the kitten wasn't already being christened something like 'snowflake'. "I guess the posters idea would be good, or maybe I can send out a memo."
She shooed a couple of animals off her knees and made to stand with the help of a desk corner, Kitty already passing her cane to her as she stood.
"Is your leg getting worse?"
"Nah," Ruth grunted as she stretched, "but it's just being a bit of a pain today." At Kitty's glare, she backtracked. "Well, I've been doing a little bit more exercise recently- Oh don't look at me like that; I have no abdominal muscles to speak of, they needed work. All my strength is in the arms, you see?" She grinned and flexed surprisingly well toned biceps.
Kitty sighed. "So long as you know your own pace. Don't knock yourself out with it, your team needs you." She went to leave, but hesitated at the door. "Are you sure Luke wouldn't mind if I took a kitten?"
"Believe me, he'd be grateful if you did." Reassured, Kitty nodded and turned back to the door.
Just as Kitty stepped through the door, Ruth called, "I don't appreciate the insult to my team, by the way. They aren't that bad!"
Kitty's laugh echoed down the corridor, and Ruth grinned. She nudged a puppy away from the door with her (good) foot just before it closed. She surveyed the room again and sighed. The damage wasn't so bad; a plant pot or two may need to be replaced, and someone would have to sweep up, but for now she left it alone.
She slid her padd across the desk, chewed her lip and started to type.
Memo to All: Does anyone want a puppy or a kitten?
"Anyway, the real emergency is that we’re stuck with, like, 20 small animals on a starship. I know pets are allowed, so I guess we could distribute them throughout the staff?” The kitten had reached the hem of Kitty’s sweater at this point, but Jonesie caught it when it looked as though it would drop.
"I, uh, may have started to name them," Ruth admitted sheepishly. "I’m sorry if I’ve kept you from your work, but I just thought you’d maybe know who’d need a pet the most?"
"Uh, yeah sure. I can think of a few people who might benefit from some furry company, and you could probably put up flyers or something around the ship, or maybe try to get someone to announce it over comms or something." She reached down and picked up one of the kittens, softly stratching it behind it’s ears. A smile slowly creeped on her face as the kitten started purring. "and umm, I mean if it comes down to it I could probably, ah, take one of the kittens off your hands… or umm. all of them.”
Kitty turned her attention away from the tiny fuzzball in her arms and looked up. “Ruth, you’re not supposed to name them yet. That’s how you start getting attached to them it makes them more difficult to give away to other people.”
Ruth grimaced. "I know, I know, but it's difficult not to! Anyway, I called you here instead of walking to the Medbay with 20 small animals, as they'd be gone before I got there. You know what ensigns are like..."
Ruth trailed off, but smirked as Kitty kept idly scratching between the kitten's ears. "That one likes you. What are you going to name them?"
Ruth looked up, blatantly shocked.
"I have absolutely no idea." A golden retriever puppy started gnawing at the watch on her left wrist until she distracted with it with a piece of fluff attached to a small stick. (Though further examination showed that the stick was actually a branch from a rather unusual plant.)
"I think Luke may have some idea though; he looked rather sheepish when I asked him earlier." She idly scratched at the puppy’s ears. "I sent him off to the kitchens to go and find something for this lot to eat." She suddenly froze. "Oh god, Keegan is going to kill me.”
"Is this, the umm. emergency you called me about?" Kitty looked around the room, as far as she could tell none of the animals were injured, not that she would be the best person to call if they were. She may be a doctor but she wasn’t a vet. Puppies and kittens were very different from her usual patients.
"Yeah, probably. Unless, you mange to find a way to take care of this before Keegan gets here. Or try to distract her with baby animals." Kitty responded while trying to deal with a kitten who was, surprisingly successfully, climbing up her leg.

Kitty walked quickly into the room.
"Hey Ruth, I came as fast as I could. Now, what’s the emergenc-" She cut off, stopping to take in the scene in front of her. Ruth was sitting on the floor, surrounded by what was at least twenty puppies and kittens crawling all around her and the room.
"Ummm… Ruth. What’s going on?" Kitty asked, with a confused and slightly concerned expression.
Ruth looked up, blatantly shocked.
