anyway its lore is basically that it's a thief/worker at Babette's, smoking shimmer and not really doing much. BUT one time it steals some unlabeled new kind of shimmer, one that was barely tested and as it turns out - was only supposed to work on animals, as Silco wanted to try out a new type of worker for his drug empire. Because every self insert I create is also a therian - knowingly or not - this drug actually works on it, turning it into some sort of dog-like beast, and it gives it an epiphany. This feels right. It's supposed to be a doggy. It only lasts a couple hours, though, and it's not able to find any more of that strand of shimmer. Buuut since it was more special, Silco quickly finds out it was stolen and by whom. Luckily for my guy, once Silco finds out how the drug worked on it, he decides that instead of getting killed for theft, it's gonna do a job for him in the shimmer dog form. With that their relationship begins, at first it's just paying off this debt, but soon my guy wants to feel itself again and does more jobs in exchange for the shimmer, and while it's working for him they also develop a more toxic closer relationship. Because shipping myself with fictional characters is one of the greatest joys in life lmao. My guy becomes really dependent on Silco, similar to how it is addicted to shimmer. Silco mostly just cares about having a guy willing to do his dirty work. And suck dick. Aaanyway, eventually my guy meets Julian Cryptile's guy, who is a mage from outside. There's a bunch of Lore and Drama that we came up with that I have written down somewhere but dont rememeber all of it lmao. But basically we meet, become friends, and Julian's guy is very opposed to shimmer, but gets it more as he sees it's not always bad (see: me turning into something more real than my human body) but stil sees how unhealthy it is, both it and my toxic yaoiship with Silco. But my guy's like, duuuude what are you talking about it's all nicey and good. So they temporarily divonce. While my guy is still doing his thing, Julian's guy meets Singed and learns some arcane-shimmer magic mix to turn my guy into a doggy healthy style. And then Silco fucking dies and my guy has a breakdown and overdoses the beast shimmer and loses control over that form. SO it goes back to Julian's guy, apologizes for being a stupid, and they're back to being besties away from Piltover. And my guy is still a human most of the time cause there's no perfect solutions to anything, but the Julian magic makes it much healthier and better and it's more in control of this form and isn't feral or anything, just a guy that's also a dog. Basically. Yeah
Also the puppy version wasn't supposed to be canon in any way, just a space filler, but I jokingly told Julian that in an alternate reality my guy is literally just a normal dog and I actually like that idea. so that's that
