But here’s the thing, this isn’t just about Sansa. Our distaste for this isn’t just a slight on Sansa. It’s a slight on House Stark as a whole. It’s a slight to Northern independence. Two things most Sansa stans care deeply and have rooted for for a long time.
This isn’t just about a chair. This is about the lack of any respect Daenerys shows to the Northern lords and the entitlement of her attitude. Does that look like the face of a woman who has any hesitation by stripping sovereignty from a kingdom who desperately wants its own freedom? When she has preached on and on about the freedom to make your own decisions.
Daenerys has done nothing for the lords to gain any of their respect. She held their king prisoner for months??? And kept him away from his home and people for the coming war. She burned food stocked for winter in the midst of winter. She brought an army famous for its pillaging and raping and another also famous for its brutality and cruelty. 2 large dragons that will be expected to dine on either the North’s scarce livestock or game, or the northerners themselves. She gave the NK his biggest weapon because of a mission she greenlit for the sake of a ceasefire south. More importantly, she’s burning high lords and their heirs despite knowing how that will make her look to the other lords. Especially the North.

Daenerys had an opportunity to show she was different from Cersei. She had the opportunity to gain respect and she had the opportunity to show she was not like her father. But the truth is, that time is long passed and all they will see is a mixture of Aegon, the first Targaryen to take away the sovereignty in the North and Aerys who murdered its Lord and his heir. I can’t stress this enough!
She has zero rights to the North. Zero rights to Winterfell. I feel like a broken record at this point and maybe I am, but Daenerys has not fought for the North. She hasn’t fought for Winterfell a day in her life. And no, I’m not counting flying north because it’s already been confirmed she rode out to save Jon from a situation she herself allowed for him to be in.
Nor would she! Daenerys would allow every Northerner to die if it meant her the crown. They were never as important to her as much as the Throne. Now, you can imagine how insulting it is for the lords to see a place meant for the Starks be taken over by a Targaryen who’s a foreign invader in their country. She believes this is her right. When she’s done nothing for it.

ANY OF IT for the North or Winterfell. The Starks built Winterfell. It’s their ancestral home and even they had to fight tooth and nail just to win it back from the bannermen who schemed and betrayed to get it.
The Starks EARNED their place back. Because it was their HOME! And the only place they were ever going to be safe. Daenerys wants it on a silver platter. Jon was chosen king BY his people. He GAINED their respect and trust. Sansa’s people wanted to CHOOSE her as their leader because she GAINED their respect and trust. Daenerys wants it on a silver platter as her “right”
We have to remember just how many people died for this cause. For northern independence and the freedom to choose their own leader. Robb died for it. Catelyn died for it. Thousands of Northmen died for it in battle and at the Red Wedding. Thousands more died at the BoTB for it. They have lost far more than Daenerys would ever be willing to even consider for the North and Winterfell. They gave their lives for independence and Daenerys, wants to take that all away as quickly as they had finally gained it. So yes, it is insulting to the legacy of the Starks and every single person who ever fought for Northern independence to see a conqueror and a Targaryen waltz in and take a seat never meant for her. It’s disrespectful to that legacy.
This isn’t about just a chair or Sansa. This is about Daenerys entitlement to a country she holds the same regards as she does an iron chair and a southern war with Cersei.
How are we annoying? All we’re doing is writing meta’s and saying we don't agree that Dany is on Sansa’s rightful chair lol.
