Genuinely asking:

Does anyone else struggle with taking sleep/anxiety medication bc it causes sleep paralysis and nightmares?? Am I the only one? I’m in a cruel cycle of not being able to sleep but I can’t take anything bc it makes things worse. I used to be able to take anything and everything but now two milligrams of melatonin gives me insane nightmares 😭 being too anxious and sad to sleep but knowing there’s not a damn thing I can do to fix it fcking sucks

Sooo I hosted an event called Joyren Week but I think it’s safe to say it flopped lmao. But I do appreciate those who did participate!! 🫶 Idk if it’s because the fandom is dying, people are just busy in this tiny fandom (valid) or if people don’t like me for whatever reason.. I’m highly considering leaving this app because I am just not meant to participate in fandom life. Every fandom has its toxicity unfortunately. It’s sad because I was hoping this fandom would be a redemption from the last one I was in.

But anyways- I’m still going to post fics on ao3 @ joppersfemme, if you’d like to read them.

Chapter 7 of Evermore (Timeline AU)!

A few months after Hawkins’s ‘earthquake’, an experiment goes wrong, leaving Joyce and her children stuck in a shelter for months… in their time. When they are able to get out, they realized what happened time traveled them into the year 2026. Joyce tries desperately to get her life together while grieving Hopper, and the first step is working for a winery owned by a kind hearted, wealthy, business savvy woman named Karen Wheeler.

Karen is devoted to her job, a little too devoted which causes issues with her relationships. Once she meets Joyce, a mysterious woman who acts as if she’s from another world, her focus changes. Her entire world changes because she’s never cared for any woman like that before.

This is a story about two women from different times who are different in so many ways, but find love in each other after all the awful things they’ve been through.

Making fun of people is one thing - and seems to be a common theme in fandom unfortunately, but doing it in a fandom in which the show literally starts with people being bullied, is actually insane. Making fun of people for harmless things and how they express themselves should never be done in any scenario, no matter the fandom or irl, but it’s just ironic as fuck seeing it happen so much in the Stranger Things fandom and its sub fandoms. People clearly choose to ignore the parts of the show where people are being bullied to the point that they are outcasted and crying. You can’t sympathize with fictional characters for being bullied and then log onto social media and do the same shit to a real person. Guess what, there are real people behind screens and they have feelings. And btw if you do this shit, your fave characters would hate you if they were real, and your fave actors would absolutely hate you if they knew you.

JOYREN WEEK 2026 | July 4th - July 10th

Totally inspired by a post by the user JopperWeek (who are creating an awesome idea by dedicating a week to Jopper), I thought it would be really fun to celebrate Joyren for a week! Why July 4th? Because that’s the day that they had their cute interaction at the festival in season 3 (and it just so happens to be rounding the corner.)
