Delayed Arrow review
Dear friends,
It is that time of year! I love the week of Holy Week because it means we get to live out in real time and walk along Jesus through his last days on earth and celebrate in his resurrection. I get to play and sing in numerous services, including two filled with art, music, theater and dance sharing stories of God’s salvation in the Old Testament on Saturday, an overnight Vigil filled with worship, prayer, and scripture (and I wrote an original song that I shared at 3 am), and a beautiful sunrise Easter service filled with joy.
It also means I am physically and emotionally drained afterwards. Which means Arrow always takes a back seat during this week. I’m hoping to rewatch last week’s episode today and take notes. I may end up running behind with reviews for the rest of the season. Thankfully, you all are very understanding and encouraging.
I also want to do a good job with this past Canary episode. I realize that most of my readers are huge Olicity fans but I became really good friends with a Laurel Lance fan at the end of season 4 due to our love of the soundtrack (ironically through my review of her death and funeral episode which had fantastic music). We have worked on projects together, bemoaned the enmity and ridiculousness between our two factions in the fandom, and rave about how we agree that Season 3 had the best music in Arrow. (He’s also reasonable in recognizing that Felicity and Oliver are together for this show) He was thrilled with this episode especially after the heartbreak of Season 4, so this review is going to be for you @jorahandal (whenever I get to writing it!)
Enjoy the Diggle episode tonight. I look forward to hearing lots of Diggle motifs.
Isn't she the absolute best?
