revamp of some fae ocs ive had since early childhood. ferrys van der wall, bard of the high spring court, and jaswindyr, a shapeshifter with business ties to the autumn court with questionable intentions. forced to work together for a hope at peace in both their kingdoms, they are questing together to find the heir to the spring court throne after the current high kings brutal murder.

macdara "mac" brandur, my tabaxi warlock in a homebrew campaign my friend is making based extremely loosely on the bannerlord games, with a high fantasy flair. he has the mask of many faces pact boon so he uses it to disguise himself in his vigilante behaviours at the whim of his deity. pictured is his typical human guise, he uses to navigate life outside of batannia, which is a sanctuary for magic users of all kinds.

backstory below :)

The Enclave of the Dragon's Fang once served the Flamemother, a deity of positive change through chaos and rebirth. She believed in positive upward movement at any cost, and gave the first Monks their fire magic. As time bore on, the enclave's motivations shifted from positive change to a more greedy one - common knowledge became esoteric, and the charity that was once a main part of the monastery ceased reaching the needy pockets of the poor. The temple closed its doors, and became isolated, bending to the influences of a more malignant force - Malerion, a deity of greed who shows himself on the material plane as a bronze dragon, who has been puppetteering the monastery to his whims from his lair far underneath the desert. Only elder members of the monastary know of his presence, everyone else under the impression they still serve the Flamemother.

Macdara "Mac" Brandur grew up in the Tribe of the Eastern Flame, a well intentioned but war-centric group. He was initiated into the Enclave of the Dragon's Fang as a young child when he showed an affinity for magic and a great bodily strength. He trained very hard, and when he came of age, it was time for the ritual to connect him to the Flamemother, the deity the Enclave supposedly worshipped and initially gave them their powers of fire. During the ritual, which involved his elders searing the mark of the dragon into his fur,Mac saw visions of the true Flamemother, who told him the truth about the monastery. She showed him visions of Batannia, crushed under the Empire's heel, and knew it was his destiny to help stop it. Disgusted at his elders choice to remain devout to a false idol, he ran away, serving the true Flamemother as her sword in the material plane.

Since his chaotic departure from the temple ten years ago, he has been tracking down any enemy of nature and the Flamemothers ideal world, ensuring they pay their penance, sparing most lives but sending them back to their allies with the brand of the Flamemother across their face, chest or back in an attempt to show them the returning power of his Lady Divine. Using his pact boon of a changing appearance, he has become an urban legend earning the title "THE BRANDER". The notoriety has struck fear in the hearts of some, but vengance in the hearts of others....
