All of a sudden P!ATD come out and start singing “this is gospel.” When Brendon gets to the chorus, someone else starts singing… “When I was a young boy my father took me into the city to see a marching band.” Lights flash everywhere, and you see FOB singing “this is gospel” along with P!ATD, while MCR is singing “Black parade”. Everyone in the crowd is going wild and crying. Then if things couldn’t get any better, Dan and Phil walk onto stage and kiss, holding the gay flag.

I am trying so hard to moderate my tone and be nice and respectful but I am very mad. By pressuring people close to wilbur to come out, you are potentially pushing abuse victims to talk when they aren’t ready yet, or maybe when they’re still realizing it was abuse. If this is the case you are actively victim blaming.

I really don’t think you guys get how abuse like this works, you don’t fucking know until someone tells you. I constantly have to have my boyfriend reiterate to me that my parents are abusive because when you’re in any sort of relationship parental or romantic you are not wired to see the worst in people. (and shubble talks about this in her vod. Watch the vod.) I had to talk to my brother a LOT to convince him we were being abused. It’s not as simple as “oh, that’s abuse,” and immediately disavowing the person. My parents have a lot of influence where I live. They could legitimately ruin my life if I came out. My friends who I’ve told can’t do that. They have to talk to my parents when they see them, they have to pretend like the way I’m treated isn’t happening.

Why do you expect some strange superhuman level of maturity and ability to process complex situations from ccs in EVERY situation. Why are you talking about people not talking? Why are you saying what they’re saying isn’t enough? Who’s to say they aren’t talking in private? Why should we be privy to that?
