Introduction Post
Hello! I am Josephine Taylor (she/her), a queer indie author from the US, who writes horror romances with Gothic and fairytale influences, and age-gap romances that are 110% my ultimate guilty pleasure.🤭 I post about my books and art, books in general, my love for MILFs and DILFs, and whatever my current interest is at the time! When I'm not on Tumblr, you can also find me on Instagram at jo.taylor.books.

Speaking of my books... er, well... one book (for now)...
My debut novel, The Bones We Haunt, is a werewolf Gothic horror romance that is The Wolfman x Beauty and the Beast x Crimson Peak, and uses paleontology and lycanthropy to explore themes of female identity and gender roles. Available via paperback and Kindle Unlimited. (Also available to order at your local library or bookstore via IngramSpark!) Check out more here!
Jane Sterling, an American socialite with a fierce interest in paleontology, is drawn to the kindness of a mysterious gentleman, but a marshland beast traps her in his isolated ancestral home - and hungers for her blood. Will she be able to break the man's beastly curse, or will she need to resort to hunting him before he hunts her?

Current Project
I am currently in the thick of revisions for my sophomore novel, a sapphic gothic romantic horror thriller set during WWII that is heavily inspired by Daphne du Maurier's Rebecca, called The Poisoning of Aurora Finch. (basically, what if instead of engaging in psychological warfare with Mrs Danvers, the second Mrs de Winter mistook such manipulations for flirting and started a toxic love affair with her instead?) Lots of gay pining and being down bad for a morally dubious woman twice your age, lots of arachnophobia and body horror, lots of fun! :D
The tentative release date is late 2026, but updates are to come!
Fleeing the mistakes of her past and the devastation of the London Blitz, Aurora Briggs marries the wealthy and charming Peter Finch with the hope that she will at last find sanctuary in his family's estate of Webb Hall in Northumberland, England. However, her peace is short-lived when members of her new family begin dying around her - and she is named a murder suspect. Paranoia mounts as Aurora tasks herself in uncovering what (or who) is killing those around her and why the corpses are infested with spiders, and she confronts her fears that she is haunted not only by the whispered rumors of Peter's first wife, who died under mysterious circumstances two years prior, but by the shadow of Death itself that has followed her all her life. As her world closes in around her, Aurora is driven to find security and companionship - and perhaps something more, once reperessed desires begin to resurface - in the arms of the estate's cold, mysterious housekeeper Ms Baines, a woman who has watched Aurora with a deep, poisonous hunger from the dark corners of Webb Hall ever since her arrival as a new bride.
I have a slew of other book projects on the back burner for now, and I eagerly await posting and screaming about them. I am always excited to talk books and characters, and everything in between, so my DMs and ask box are always open!
Hope ya stick around!^^
