Natural conception at the age of 49
Good morning,
This is a bit sudden, but I just found out last week that I’m pregnant. 👶
I’ve never been married and have always been single, living my life as a “free spirit.” I’ve been living and working abroad all this time, enjoying a relatively carefree life.
Of course, living alone overseas hasn’t been without its challenges—there have been countless tough situations. I’ve even faced some truly unimaginable crises 💀 ... but those are stories for another time, somewhere down the line... (They were incidents I wish had never happened, but they do make for interesting stories.)
Each person has their own unique life, entirely different from anyone else’s. I believe everyone’s life, when you really look at it, is full of ups and downs. Mine is no exception.
When I was younger, I did experience pregnancy once, but due to circumstances, I had to terminate it. So, I have never given birth before.
I’ve always loved children and wanted one of my own. While I wrote earlier about living a carefree life, deep down, I’ve always wished for a family of my own.
But as I got closer to menopause without finding a meaningful connection, I had given up hope.
And then, suddenly...
Honestly, I’m still in shock and don’t know what to do.
Logically speaking, it’s an incredibly precious and wonderful thing. After all, I’ve been blessed with life.
But the more I think about it, the more terrifying reality seems...
And yes, if I feel this way, I should have been more cautious about contraception.
Still, deep in my heart, I truly longed for a family and a child.
I haven’t told the father yet. We don’t live nearby, but we’re planning to meet soon. I feel it’s something I need to discuss face-to-face.
Considering my age, work, the father, and my family, I’m still completely uncertain about everything.
I know that for those who are struggling with infertility treatments, hearing me ramble like this must be infuriating. If I were in their position, I would definitely be upset.
However, I want to be honest about my situation and feelings, and share them here moving forward.
