Heathcliff has Weird Habits around hospitality.

Lockwood ends up in Catherine's old room because Heathcliff refuses to accommodate him in any other part of the house and leaves the housekeeper to handle it. Isabella spends her first night at Wuthering Heights in a chair in Hareton's room. He considerately makes tea for Nelly and Young Catherine, but it rings hollow since he is holding them hostage until Catherine marries Linton. Hospitality is not a social contract for Heathcliff, but an abuse tactic.

When Mr Earnshaw first brings a seven-year-old Heathcliff home, he tells Nelly to put the newcomer to bed with Catherine and Hindley. Catherine and Hindley won't have him, and Nelly-- bone weary and herself only 14 years old-- leaves Heathcliff on the stair landing. Heathcliff has always known that he is not covered by social contracts.

Today, my family and I live in a tent that barely shields us from the cold and rain. My youngest child asks me every day, "Where is our home? When will we go back?" And I find myself standing helpless, unable to answer. My little girls sleep on the hard ground without enough blankets to keep them warm, and my eldest son tries to be strong for his siblings, but he’s just a child—he needs safety and care, things I can no longer provide😭😭😭😭😭

We have no electricity, no clean water, and no consistent access to food. Every day is a struggle to secure even the basics that once felt so ordinary😭😭😭😭😭

I am not asking for much—only for the sake of my children. I wish I could protect them from the biting cold and the hunger that weakens their small bodies. I dream of seeing them smile again, to hear their laughter free from fear and sorrow😭😭😭

I know there are many others suffering like us, but as a mother, I cannot give up on my family. I appeal to you with all the love and desperation in my heart: help us rebuild our lives. Even the smallest gesture of kindness could mean everything to us—a chance to live again with dignity and hope😭😭😭

Fahed (@/fahed-2) & Reem (@/reem-reem-0), fled south together with their children & their children's grandmother. Fahed's sister's family of 5 fled south as well, and the 13 of them remained together. But after 14 months of surviving hell as a unit (and nearly reaching their campaign goal) the family is now facing one of the worse decisions imaginable: who will be able to evacuate Gaza and who will be forced to stay behind.

There may be an opportunity for evacuation soon, but they're bracing for separation, with Fahed staying behind with his sister and her family. It's hard enough reunifying in Gaza, but with the border with Egypt between them, there's no telling when (or if) they'll ever see each other again. It shouldn't be a choice this family has to make: who survives, who may not. Their kids shouldn't be forcibly separated from their dad, nor Reem from her husband.

Fahed & Reem are some of the kindest, gentlest people ever, and their kids are dazzling, just absolute sweethearts. They've all lost so much and experienced too much, and somehow, kept finding a way to endure.

But right now, they might lose each other, so please: pitch in what you can, help the Shehabs stay together 🙏

One thing I didn't liked about the Wicked movie was them having Glinda say Elphaba green skin is a problem that she would fix and excluding the moment she says "You look positively emerald". I feel like they made Elphaba's green skin to be a huge deal to Glinda, something that wasn't this way on the stage play in my interpretation.

They also had Glinda call Elphaba an artichoke and not "phosphorescent" which make, in my opinion, the commentary seem less of a witty observation. Anyway, just nipticks that in my opinion changes the dynamic between them.
