Since Poppy and Shiny have basically adopted the toon twins, how do you think the weasels would go about earning THEIR approval? Especially Shiny since she's stubborn and knows what kind of games to look out for. Poppy is more... not necessarily convincing, but she's sweeter; easier to manipulate, and she isn't the best at standing up for herself. Would their tactics change depending on which aunt they're talking to? What would they do if Shiny and/or Poppy said no?

They’re family now? 🥺 Even Smartass’s gotta admit, he didn’t see that one coming! This is quite a surprise, but he’s gotta respect Toonz for having a good head on his shoulders. Plus, they’re wonderful aunties! 🥰 How would the guys go about earning THEIR approval? That’s true, she is quite stubborn 😆 And the boys know this, so their tactics rely on strong determination and hard work. In fact, they’re even more determined since last time didn’t work (for the other four, I mean 🤣).
For Smartass, I think his main tactic is arranging a meeting with her like he did with Tom. Whether it’s at the office or the nightclub Shiny now owns, she decides. If she wants to have the meeting at Headquarters, she’s going to notice that the office is…tidier than it was the last time she visited there. The tan-painted walls that were once tarnished with cracks had a fresh new coat of paint while the windows didn’t have a single bullet hole, and the whole waiting lobby/living room is decorated with new, elegant furniture the boys stole – I mean, bought 😅 “So, you want to…increase your influence all around Toontown in hopes of better protection for Twyla?”
“Yeah, all around. Uptown may be a better district than tha’ one here, but you and I both know there’s always some douchebags in there who want ‘ta start shit with Twyla. And with all tha’ connections I’ve got, I can make things so much better for her! Listen, I know I ain’t exactly got a....squeaky-clean record. But trust me, I can be the guy Twyla needs! I can give her anything and everything she wants.”

I know you and Poppy want someone who can protect her, and believe me, I am more than capable of doing so. I would do anything for Twyla. Every second of my life is devoted to her, and I spend every one of them ensuring her happiness. The moment our eyes met, it was love at first sight.” “Hmm…I’ve got my eyes on you, Rodriguez.” Yeah, he’s most likely gonna get watched like a hawk 😂 But he’s determined to win, so he’s going to win approval from his Lupita’s tough tía by performing some of his famous – and most daring – skills. La Verdadera Destreza, a Spanish tradition of fencing that originated in 16th-century Spain that was taught in Greasy’s family for generations. Not only does he excel at this, but he also challenges himself by adding creative and dangerous obstacles. Since Tom dared to choose our sweet potato over him (lmao, Greasy was so mad 😂🤣😂), he’s going to take the opportunity to make his latest performance into something incredibly complex. Hell, he’ll even go as far as taking on 10,000 other swordfighters while he’s blindfolded and doing a war dance like all weasels do! I give you and @just-kit-ink plenty of credit for that fun fact 😁👍

Wheezy’s got a few aces up his sleeve too, and he knows exactly how to convince Shiny to choose him. She wants her niece to be with someone who knows how to take care of her, someone who also has common sense. Well, don't worry, Shiny! 😁 Wheezy is just the right guy, and he has all the qualifications! Plus, he’s saner oh please, he’s just as crazy as the rest of them 😆. And who would be better than a medic? Lol, I’m just imagining the look on her face when he tells her this 🤣🤣🤣 “So…you’re a doctor too? 🤨” “Mm-hmm. I know, I know. I smoke 24/7, and I got more packs of Marlboros than all of those Hot Wheels toy car collections. But believe me, I’m much better for Twyla. I’ve learned medicine since I was a kid, and I’ve practiced a lot growin’ up. I know that she’s got her own medic and I hear he’s real good but hear me out. Having two doctors around can make things so much easier whenever shit hits the fan, plus the twins often drive around in those motorcycles of theirs.”

Psycho’s as fierce as he is silly and…well, Psycho 🤣 His tactic of choice is keeping Twyla safe whenever Tom’s not around. Like for example, he, his Twy-Lala and Shiny are out and about in Uptown and decide to take a little lunch break at one of the local restaurants. They’re just chilling and having a great time…when Shiny and Psycho notice that some of the other customers are making fun of Twyla and pointing at her (those bastards 💢). Shiny doesn’t even have to say a word, Psycho understands the assignment. He’ll sneak off into the breakroom, yoink an extra uniform and plot their horrific, gruesome demise politely deliver their order.

If Stupid has already won Tom’s approval, he’s for sure going to win Shiny’s too! 😁👍 Since I mentioned that Twyla’s been teaching him about halfie Toons, Stu’s gonna share all these fun facts with Shiny and he’s super excited about what Twyla’s been teaching him. “So, they’re both great swimmers, huh?” “Yup! Not only that, but they’re both really fast! Their speed may be different since minks are more versatile when it comes to water and trees while wolves often sprint speeds up to 40 miles per hour, but trust me, I’ve seen them run fast enough to make a cheetah green with envy! I bet they can even win a race against Speedy and Roadrunner!”
It’s quite a surprise for Shiny and her wife to learn that these guys, the most feared weasel gang in Toontown are head over heels for their spooky cinnamon roll. So, she’s gonna keep a very close eye on them. Especially when she starts to…notice other things. During the meeting, she sees that Smartass’s got quite a couple of picture frames on his desk. And they all have photos of Twyla. While they’re pretty romantic, she’ll get a strange vibe of how Smartass has more than one photo of her. Not only that, but she’ll get the same vibe from the others too. Like, if she’s at the flower shop, Greasy’s there looking for roses…which happens to one be of Twyla’s favorite flowers. Or that Wheezy’s relaxing while reading Edgar Allan Poe…who is one of Twyla’s favorite authors. And Psycho, who’s already a little strange himself, is napping on the couch with his crescent moon pillows…which are kinda similar to the ones Twyla has 🌙
You might wanna wish her good luck 😅👍 She’s not ready for the boys’ Yandere shenanigans either XD For this lovely seamstress, the weasels’ tactics would mostly consist of proving their commitment through actions like doing tasks for Twyla whenever Poppy and/or Shiny are around.
Of course, Smartass is gonna invite her to the meeting too! He knows she’s got a lot of questions as well, and he’s more than ready to answer them after spending weeks practicing and rehearsing how this meeting would go. Besides that, another tactic I think he’d also have is supporting her wonderful ideas in sewing outfits for Twyla (she absolutely loves her new scarf, by the way! ^^)! 😊 He’ll give plenty of encouraging feedback for what Poppy has in mind, and he’ll even add helpful tips!

“Absolutely ‘positivity’ (positively)! Most outfits she wears for spring and summer are cute and comfortable, but she likes a touch of elegance like tha’ classy dame she is. I know how much she loves her biker jacket, but she needs a little change of wardrobe now that ‘tha flowers are bloomin’. Trust me, Pops, she’s gonna love your World Goth Day gift.”

Greasy is a man of many talents, and cooking is one of them! 🍳 Poppy will find him outside in the backyard over an open fire, working harder than usual and putting a lot of effort into Twyla’s meal…while he’s got other meals prepared all over the table. He’s a very talented chef, and every dish he prepares is a masterpiece. “Are you…making lunch?” “Sí! My princess certainly enjoys my lechón asado, and I am more than happy to be her humble chef!” “That’s very sweet, but aren’t you working a little too hard? It looks like you’re turning lunch into a whole buffet table." “Oh! Well, what can I say? A proper gentleman must ensure his soulmate enjoys a wonderful meal. You and Shiny are more than welcome to try my other creations too, if you want some!”
Since Wheezy’s also a doctor, he’s gonna try winning Poppy’s approval by proving his medical experience as he did with Shiny and knowing that someone in the boogle can treat serious injuries will surely earn him Poppy’s five gold stars, especially if, God forbid, something happens to Twyla again. “Wait, you’re a doctor too? I didn’t know that!” “Yeah, well, if you’re gonna be part of a gang with those three bloody lunatics, you gotta learn how t’be good with medicine. Which is why I can do a much better job caring for Twyla, and not just as a doctor or a work husband." “Well…you do have a fair point – Hold on 👁👁” However, like with Smartass, I imagine what Wheezy would also do to prove himself is stay close to Twyla when they go horseback riding! 🐎 As a cowboy, he is excellent with horses and knows how to earn their trust. I’m not sure if Poppy’s ever done horseback riding before, but Wheezy and Twyla will help and show her that riding a horse is an incredible experience! And it’s gonna be quite an experience for Wheezy as well…since the horses Poppy and Twyla have won’t get up because they want more cuddles 🥰 And while Wheezy’s back is turned, the entire herd has joined 😂😂😂
“All right, ladies. You ready for another ride – Oh, you’ve got t’be kiddin’ me.”
“Sorry, Wheezy! 😅 We tried telling them to get up, but…”

Like the other three, Psycho’s got a few tricks of his own. Poppy often looks after his Twy-Lala by stopping by and bringing her own home-made cooking, which gives Psycho a few ideas of how he’ll win the sweet-natured doe’s approval. And he’ll start by doing something that absolutely does not match his name; be on his best behavior. No stealing sweets from the coffee shop, no juggling-gone-wrong-that-blew-up-Headquarters incidents, nothing. When the time has come to earn Auntie Poppy’s blessing, Psycho is going to be calm like a relaxed puppy…who really wants to be as close to Twyla as possible.
“Twyla, the tea is almost ready. Could you pass me the mugs, please?”
*pops out of Twyla’s hair holding three mugs* “Here you go!”
“Merci, Psycho. Wait –?! 👁👁”

I think like with Shiny and Tom, Stupid just wants to hang out with Poppy 😊 All he wants is to enjoy a nice, relaxing day with Twy-Twy’s aunts. Twyla also enjoys teaching him how to create art, so this sweet potato’s eager to show Poppy all of his projects! “OK, you ready?” “Yes! I’m curious to see what you’ve created – Oh, mon Dieu! You can make art out of food?! 🤩 I love the colors and details! And are these grapes Twyla’s eyes? This is gorgeous! Shiny, come here! You’ve got to see this beautiful artwork!”
Just like Shiny, Poppy will pick up on the boys’ odd affection. Like, if they’re having Twyla and Greasy over for lunch, Poppy’s going to notice the gangster’s behavior. Usually, when he’s in the presence of women, he’s obviously trying to flirt with them which ends in either an eyeroll, a purse smack on the head, or a kick in the batteries. But with Twyla…he doesn’t remove his gaze from her even while he’s eating. Tiny hearts are popping around his head 💞, his eyes full of nothing but love and obsession adoration as she takes a bite of her meal or partakes in her aunties’ conversations. Sometimes, he’ll even imitate her pace though he’ll gently remind her to slow down and drink some water. If Shiny or Poppy ask him something, he’ll give a few replies here and there, but other than that, he’s so quiet it’s completely out of character.
Neither of them knows what’s going on, but what they do know is that there’s something different about the boys. Something has….changed.
What would they do if the ladies said no?
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, boy. The guys would be…conflicted 😅 On one hand, they’d know why. Now that they’re a part of their darling’s family, it’s very understandable for Shiny and Poppy to be protective of her. They wouldn’t admit it out loud, but they’re pretty relieved that Twyla’s entrusted in the care of people they know and trust. Toonz’s a great older brother and they’ve seen his fierce protectiveness first-hand, Poppy’s an absolute sweetheart who makes the best Tupperware meals, and Shiny’s very capable of handling a gun. Or should I say, shotgun? 😆
With these queens in Toonz’s crew, this makes the weasels’ job protecting Twyla a lot easier. On the other hand….they won’t give up. Even though they respect Tom and his aunties, their love for Twyla is matched by their own stubbornness. The moment they fell for her, she is theirs forever. A day without her in their lives, in their arms where she belongs, is torture. They cherish every single moment they share with her, yet they long for more. Hell, they’ve even started planning their own weddings! They have no intention of letting her go, not even Greasy.
“Let her go? Oh, Shiny and Poppy, my dear ladies…….I can’t do that. I’ll never let her go. Never again.”
