i’ve been working out a style for my commonplace that i love :D
commonplace
One thing I hope to do more of in 2024 is documenting my days. It’s nice having a place for photos that I don’t necessarily want to order prints for, but want to save in a place that I can look back on and remember things. Hopefully it’ll help with my hazy memory, too.
one of my fav movies, i swear.
scrapbook pages i did for ambrose and kodiak from my favourite book The Darkness Outside Us by Eliot Schrefer

There's just nothing like going back over something you've written and seeing all your mistakes. I wrote 'forbiddenness' as 'forbideness'... just kill me now. I had the book in front of me while I copied it as well which makes the whole thing worse.
I've known about commonplaces for a while and knew that I had the skeleton of one but it took me a while to get the motivation to compile all the bones.
september in my commonplace - my first month ever commonplacing!
Recent pages in my commonplace book!
I've seen this before, but it's been years and it just came across my Twitter in its dying days. The words are from a favorite author of mine, Maggie Stiefvater, and they are the words I most need to hear when it comes to dealing with chronic pain and illness. I didn't need this the first time I saw it, six years ago. I need it now. Maybe you do, too.
Journalling is so hard. You start with happy emotions and bam! You are crying now.
☁️ my reading journal is actually just a vertical weekly TN insert ☁️
journalling is just like [a happening] [an observation] [a spiral into the darkest depths of fear hidden in my psyche] [a comment on media I am currently enjoying]
