I also find that using a tiny journal helps me feel less preasured to fill a giant page, making me less anxious about journaling and more likely to use it.

adding charms to your journal, on an elastic band to hold it together can add a lot of personality to your common place book!
adding a spot for a pen, washi tape, paper clips and wired ear buds!
Making a journal cover is a really easy DIY, if you make it with fabric you can incorporate embroidery, and with other materials you can use stickers, or stamps!
Other common place book uses: junk journaling, stamp or sticker books, collecting quotes, polaroid photo storage, note taking, tea bag labels, anything your heart desires!!
