[161223] GOT7 FLIGHT LOG: TURBULENCE IN MANILA
A lot has happened tonight. I have been to a lot of concerts and fanmeets yet this is the most frustrating fanmeet I have attended. I have no complaints to GOT7′s performances since they were fantastic onstage and performed all their songs wonderfully. I will make a rundown of the good and bad highlights of the show and emphasise on what made me so frustrated. Bear in mind that this post will mostly focus on CHOI YOUNGJAE.
I want to start by commending GOT7 for being so professional and loveable and friendly and accommodating and amazing all at the same time. Now I want to complain about not being able to take photos and videos because the marshals are literally confiscating phones and cameras. I wasn’t able to get decent photos and videos of the boys. Also the sound system is not that good but apart from that, the fanmeet is all in all amazing, thanks to the boys of GOT7!!
So, at the very beginning of the event, technical issue happened. Jaebeom’s microphone is not working. Good thing Youngjae is to the rescue. My heart skipped a beat since my OTP is having a moment in front of me. 2JAE moment at its finest. Youngjae is standing while holding his mic to share with JB. My OTP moment lasted for the entire part of JB at the start of LET ME. I am just so happy that it happened. So despite the technical issue, it’s still okay.
Q&A happened and I literally caught myself gasping for air since all boys performed a sexy dance. Yugyeom shold be banned from doing it since he can kill a lot of fans by doing so. Also, Jackson shouldn’t be allowed to enthusiastically encourage Yugyeom to do a sexy dance because a lot of fans might have a coronary at a young age. HAHAHAHA! The cutest thing that happened during this fiasco is when Yugyeom went to JB before doing a sexy dance as if he is asking a permission to his dad. HAHAHAHA! THEY’RE JUST ADORABLE.
After a couple of performances, 2 games were setup for GOT7. The first one is done without much hassle but for the second game I swear, I’ve said all the curse words that I know in different languages. When it was time for the individual game, each member is entitled to choose their own partner by saying a combination that will correspond to the seat numbers. When it was Youngjae’s turn, the girl he chose is apparently a Yugyeom-biased. Much to everyone’s horror, the girl requested to be Yugyeom’s partner instead. She went to Yugyeom and asked if she can be his partner instead. Bambam held the girl’s arm and told Youngjae the girl’s request. He was surprised about it and jokingly said “You go home.” (It appears to me that Youngjae was offended by it. He was rejected by a fan by declining to be his partner.) Being a kind-hearted Otter Youngjae is, he accepted the girl’s apology. I know this because I was focused on lip-reading what Youngjae and the girl are saying. She apologised and Youngjae just said it’s okay. He even slightly patted her back if I’m not mistaken. It seemed that the girl insisted on the switch because the person Yugyeom initially chose is now paired up with Youngjae but because she was not aware of the new arrangement when she arrived onstage she went straight to Yugyeom. Youngjae’s reaction was like “Really?! Another one?!” (He didn’t say it but it clearly showed on his face. He was rejected twice.) At this point I was so ready to run to the stage and snatch Youngjae away from them and give him a tight hug and tell him many people love him.
After this segment, the change in Youngjae’s mood is very noticeable. Starting from being giddy to becoming as stiff as a stick showing small smiles. I sincerely wanted to thank Wang Jackson because he made a joke or statement (I honestly cannot remember what exactly is it) but he made Youngjae smile even for a short while. I was yelling for Youngjae’s name the whole time because I don’t want to see him like that.
Apart from the circumstances that happened, I still enjoyed the show especially since I am a newbie Ahgase. Despite not being my ultimate bias group, GOT7 has a special part in my heart. Choi Youngjae makes me want to protect him at any cost. The situation that happened earlier proved that. I seriously wanted to wring the girl’s neck and give her a good beating. UGH!!! She made me frustrated the rest of the show. I know I sincerely had fun because the boys are so wonderful. I will not regret being a fan of GOT7 and I will do everything that I can to protect them especially Youngjae from any harm. My precious Otter doesn’t deserve that kind of treatment.
Hoping for another show and wish that next time it’ll be a full concert with not so much restrictions to fully enjoy the show with them! ♥♥♥
