KDrama Review : My Shy Boss (Introverted Boss)
by : Beverly Joy Maylas
This is a drama wherein the story revolves around the personality of the male lead as an introvert person. Yeon Woo Jin plays the role of the main character who is the CEO of a big PR agency. Eun Hwan Gi (Yeon Woo Jin) is a very introverted person and prefers to be alone in his penthouse. He was just a shy guy before but his fear of facing and mingling with people was triggered by an incident which happened three years ago. However, Eun Hwan Gi (Yeon Woo Jin) learned to come out of his shell by the help of his cheerful employee Chae Ro Woon, played by Park Hye Soo. The whole team of Silent Monster helped Eun Hwan Gi (Yeon Woo Jin) to develop himself as well as his leadership potential.
At first, Yeon Woo Jin’s character, Eun Hwan Gi was too weak and timid. It was really funny how everyone thought that he was scary and unapproachable. With the scenes of him holding a knife and chopping something or the scene where he was dragging something huge inside a sack. It was so comical yet I so love those parts. It adds on the mysterious side of his character on the beginning part of the drama.
Park Hye Soo was also able to portray Chae Ro Woon nicely. Chae Ro Woon is a super energetic lady who always bothers the quiet place of her CEO. But behind those happy smiles and positive attitude of the female lead hides her pains and anger due to her elder sister’s sudden death.
Each one of the characters made an impact in the story. The only downside of the story was probably the death of Chae Ro Woon’s sister. That was way too heavy for a romantic comedy genre. However, it was able to give some substance to the story to develop the characters.
I soooo love those hilarious awkward moments of Eun Hwan GI (Yeon Woo Jin). It was really entertaining. It’s fun watching him analyze everything that is happening before he says a single word. And if he chose to, or unintentionally, speak out his mind, it creates misunderstanding between him and other people. Yes, he was often misunderstood. I’m gonna miss those awkward scenes.
CEO Eun Hwan Gi’s character was carefully crafted. He was so honest, from what he thinks to what he feels. But he is extra careful in releasing those thoughts into words. He thinks first before talking, always trying to figure out first what would others feel if he says this or that. Eun Hwan Gi sometimes loses his chance to talk because he thinks and analyze too much. He carefully chooses the right words that won’t hurt people. But at the end of the day, the sentences he meticulously constructed will always come out pure and not sugar-coated. And that’s probably what made him special.
He never intended to please people yet he cares for them. This world needs people like him. In this world full of superficial beauty and kindness, Eun Hwan Gi reminded us that honesty and love will still matter. That we can be the listeners in this world full of talkers.
There’s actually more to learn in this drama, so I recommend this to KDrama fans out there who haven’t seen this yet to watch and enjoy My Shy Boss (Introverted Boss). Annyeong!

Introverted Boss. <3
You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching, Love like you'll never be hurt, Sing like there's nobody listening, And live like it's heaven on earth.

Every moment of our lives are like book chapters, game levels and train stations. We standby and wait for a matter of time. But we don’t live the rest of our lives there. We need to move. We need to go forward.
Forgiveness
Why are people like that? We find it so hard to give what we have freely received. We fail to understand that forgiveness helps ourselves more than it helps those who hurt us. Forgiveness helps our hearts be healthy and pure again. It restores relationships. It develops maturity and understanding.
Forgiveness saved us from death.
It compels you to love, accept and understand those people you should hate. It requires courage. Because only the most courageous person can accept the fact that he was hurt yet he can love again. Forgiveness is, probably, the highest form of loving.

Story of a Warrior Princess
A soldier that was sent on a war A princess that was placed on sky like a star I have received both callings from God My King, my Saviour and my Dad
Have fought so many battles Have seen so many miracles Still have a long way to travel So many hearts I was called to kindle
Though I've travelled this road alone, I know God has prepared a person I can actually call "home" I may not know you yet But I believe that our destiny was set
Let's gladly take life's victories and tests Because someday we'll bring out each other's bests Let us patiently wait Things will happen at the right moment - not early and not late
I still have a lot to know Still has a bigger room to mature and grow During the winter, we witness the falling of snow There's also a perfect season for love to grow.
