every year, i try to donate to a local animal shelter/animal volunteer group. it's one of the many things i'm passionate about. my country is terrible at protecting animals and most of the work being done to rescue and stand up for animal rights are being done by these volunteer groups. this year however, i couldn't afford to give anything, so i decided that i'm going to set aside all the proceeds i get from commissions from dec 2025 - march 2026 and donate all of it to pawfectly good. my local animal volunteer group of choice. 🐱💖

they are a group i have had personal experience with as they operate near my area. they helped my friend adopt a cat that has been rescued from abuse and i see the product of their labor all the time with how much care the neighborhood strays have been receiving.

so if you ever wanted a sketch or a chibi from me, i just wanted to let you know that i am extra grateful that you are helping me with this cause 💖

i don't have a specific set goal in mind as any little amount counts. i will be posting the receipts of the amount donated on april 2026 on my ko-fi. 😊

You know, I need to get this off my mind.

Making characters trans is fine, HOWEVER,

Oftentimes, I feel like people glamorise being trans. The transgender experience is not a happy one. It's not 'cool' or 'quirky' to be trans. It's painful and horrible and intensely depressing.

Then, I have a feeling people make one or both characters in mlm relationships trans because they think anal is gross, which is not great, or they headcanon themselves as one of the characters, which is a bit more acceptable.

It feels similar to me as when a gay couple gets turned into a straight couple by giving one of them the opposite sex. And that feels a tad homophobic to me.

Moral of the story: gay men are beautiful, so are gay women. And let's not romanticise being transgender. If I didn't phrase this properly, that's my bad (and my autism's).
