Accept each day just as it comes, and find me in the midst of it all." This devotional has stuck with since last week. So often I excuse missing quiet time with God, or quality time with my children because "this day was so crazy", and think how much better it will be when there is less chaos. Or I focus on how much better things will be once "x" problem is finally resolved. What a challenge to recognize this as not accepting the life God has given me and realize that I am to find God in the midst of the noise, to rise above my circumstances, and to thank Him for the life He has given me, exactly as it is.

Love that our Pastor taught is about the origin of the word "helper" used in Genesis when God created Eve. Unlike the modern day definition, which depicts the woman as only being there to help the man, the original language is much stronger, and the word used to describe the woman is usually used to describe God in the Biblical texts. I love it ❤
