Looking for Artist to create Splatoon Art
Hey everybody! JP here.
I was wondering if there were any artists interested in creating some artwork for my group “Fresh Inc.” on Squidboards.
The group is open to anyone, and we can discuss the design elements.
I’m nowhere near as talented as some of you are, so I’m looking forward to working with you!
Hey Kdin! Who's idea was it to post MC a day early for sponsors? I think it was a really smart idea, and helps me out a lot! I make the link dump/reference list for the let's plays on Reddit, and having videos out a day early gives me plenty of time to format everything. Looking forward to all the great content in future!

The idea was discussed between Geoff and Matt Hullum, then between Geoff and myself.
Essentially it came down to “Kdin, do you have enough time in your schedule to make this happen?”
So I’m stupid, always up for a ridiculously difficult challenge, and am entirely too hardheaded so I said “Of course I can do it!”
So now Minecraft comes out on Thursday for Sponsors and my brain is a perpetual pile of goop.

High school, sophomore year. During lunch break, my friend Fernando shows me some video of a guy playing the Impossible Game. He yells and screams profusely, before saying “SWISS FUCKING CHEESE, GOD DAMN IT!”
That’s it. I’m hooked. What IS this?
Turns out that video was called Rage Quit - The Impossible Game Level Pack - Level 2, and the channel was called Rooster Teeth.
Huh, weird name for a channel.
But I started watching more videos that night, discovering the MineCraft Let’s Plays, RTAA, RT Shorts, etc.
I’ve been thinking; why exactly AM I a fan of this company, anyway?
I think I’m a fan of Rooster Teeth and Achievement Hunter, because this company represents all the things that I love; music, TV, Film, Anime, video games, web-culture... Seeing a company so invested and inspired by all these things is incredibly inspiring, and I’m so excited for the future.

What are your rules about artwork submitted? I know sites like welovefine which in their guideline state that any artwork submitted, is legally theirs, and any use of that artwork is prohibited. How strict are the rules for the splatoon contest?
Thanks for the question! For our contest, we’re basically saying that as long as your artwork is not NSFW, illegal, or stolen (as in, the work you submit is an already submitted post, or one that isn’t original), then any and all artwork is permitted.
Hey everyone! In order to generate some Splatoon hype, some of us have decided to host an art contest! We're hoping to bring out the creative side of the Splatoon community with this, so even if you're not confident in your art, or if you usually only doodle, we want to encourage you to post something! We'll be advertising this contest to a few other places, so put on your game face and draw!

Create a piece of Splatoon related artwork that clearly includes at least one Inkling
Submissions will be posted on this thread
Submissions are open starting today, February 9th, and will go until March 2nd at 11:59 PM. 3 weeks!
Winners will be decided by private judges. After Submissions close, we'll take 3 days to judge the submissions, and come to a conclusion on March 5th
Forum guests are allowed to submit, so long as they provide a way for us to contact them in the post (Reddit, Twitter, and Tumblr accounts are acceptable if you're uncomfortable sharing your email on a public forum)
No NSFW submissions
No harassing other contestants in or out of the thread
No stolen art
breaking any of the last 3 rules will result in immediate disqualification
Open to NA and Europe only

Any fans of RT/AH watch It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia?
TL;DR: Achievement Hunter got me into It's Always Sunny.
I started watching Achievement Hunter in my junior year of high school (about two years ago). Since then, all of Rooster Teeth has expanded to a new studio, hired new staff, and produced a metric shit-ton of new shows.
The AH crew makes a bunch of references in their videos to various shows, movies, and other pieces of pop culture. A particular show that is almost always referenced in any given Let's Play is It's Alway Sunny in Philadelphia.
"EGG!" "Dayman! AaaaAAAh!" "I'm full of the vinegar!" "Pepper Jack LOVES Fraggle Rock!"
These are just some of the common phrases uttered in the AH Let's Plays. All of which come from It's Always Sunny.
A few months ago, I decided to binge watch the entire show, after realizing just how much AH references it.
And my god. It's such a great show.
Any RT/AH fans watch Sunny? I HIGHLY suggest the show to all of you guys, if you like Rooster Teeth's or Achievement Hunter's humor.
Heard about the #RoosterTeeth Podcast Pizza from Pizza Hut, decided to try it for myself. It's SO good.
