May the Fourth Mini Fest at Ravensdale Farm!! More Than Physics spun some real tripped out hypno bliss. Then, Ginger Whale played a bunch of fun crowd pleasers.

Here’s a couple band photos I did way back for a band called Wooden Wülf. Not much in the way of setting so we busted out a few umbrellas that were in the garage.

Then I’ve got some snaps of Roseville from Fort Collins, followed by Sleepspent, from El Paso.

Pinball Jones Campus West hosted a few musical acts, including my band A.M. Pleasure Assassins, a band from Greeley called Sattellite Pilot, and Sleppspent from Austin Texas.

Sattellite Pilot reminded me of the Talking Heads in all the right ways, while Sleepspent had a smoother unfolding, to reveal a kind of polished, mathrock leaning Dino Jr style. Obviously the tour was doing what tours do best - tightening this well-oiled rock machine.

This is only my second show shooting with this new camera. I upgraded from the Pentax QS1 to the Sony A5100 and so far I love it. Still getting used to the flow of setting changes I have available and the avenues and backdoors to change those settings on-the-fly. That’s one aspect Pentax has got really dialed in, but the definition and quality of the A5100 really wow me!

The band here is Safekeeper. Sporting a wholly new rhythm section but drove me straight into the floor nonetheless. Check they’re new record coming out later this November ‘On Sludge Summit’.
