Psalms 9:What really spoke to me from reading this chapter was that whatever I do, I must do it for God's Glory because as long as we do it from the heart, God knows it and is so happy and delighted to see His children working for the expansion of His kingdom.Also, it had rebuked me in a way that in church or bible study or gatherings I need to Praise God and worship Him with all of my might because He is worthy of our Praise.He deserves it and a thousand of angels are rejoicing.God is so righteous and sometimes we become too prideful that we forget who is above us and who holds the utmost power, God. In one part of this chapter, it talks about how the poor/needy should never be forgotten. Sometimes when we see a man out on the street with a sign that simply asks for money or for food, we automatically ignore the person.But David is telling us that we shouldn't ignore the person.If that was Jesus asking for money, would you help me? In the bible it talks about how what you do to the least of my brothers you do unto me. Lord help me to become more of you and less of me and to always prioritize you despite of the material things.Lord I put all my trust in you help me te become successful so that I may testify your goodness in my life.Help me to become more generous and less ignorant. AMEN

Psalms 8: These are the things that pop into my mind when I'm reading this chapter. "O LORD, our Lord,how majestic is your name in all the earth!You have set your glory above the heavens.(David reminds us of how Awesome our God is.So beautiful,wonderful,glorious,matchless in everyway)Out of the mouth of babies and infants,you have established strength because of your foes,to still the enemy and the avenger. When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him,and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beingsand crowned him with glory and honor. You have given him dominion over the works of your hands;you have put all things under his feet (this refers to how powerful God is), all sheep and oxen,and also the beasts of the field, the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea,whatever passes along the paths of the seas. O LORD, our Lord,how majestic is your name in all the earth!(God's name is so powerful.Don't underestimate God's work and power)

Psalms 7 From this chapter,what really spoke to me and caught my attention was this: "The LORD judges the peoples;judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousnessand according to the integrity that is in me. Oh, let the evil of the wicked come to an end,and may you establish the righteous—you who test the minds and hearts,O righteous God! My shield is with God,who saves the upright in heart. God is a righteous judge,and a God who feels indignation every day. If a man does not repent, God will whet his sword;he has bent and readied his bow; he has prepared for him his deadly weapons,making his arrows fiery shafts. Behold, the wicked man conceives eviland is pregnant with mischiefand gives birth to lies. He makes a pit, digging it out,and falls into the hole that he has made. His mischief returns upon his own head,and on his own skull his violence descends. I will give to the LORD the thanks due to his righteousness,and I will sing praise to the name of the LORD, the Most High." To sum up this chapter,I need to live this life according to God's ways and to fulfill God's plan for me.This chapter reminded me that when we die, God will judge the living and the dead.When ever it may be,whether it is in 2 hours,tomorrow,in 5 months, I need to be ready and serve my God who died for our sins because He deserves it.I need this life of mine to stop being about all my selfish desires and live a Christ-centered life.Lord I will love you with all my heart and my soul until I die. #devotion

Psalms 6

Psalms 6 tells us to never think that God has left us because of all the trials that we face in our lives. We all know that He will never leave us, that He listens to every prayers that we make. Our prayers cannot be answered immediately but we know that He will respond to our prayers.

Psalms 6:8

“Depart from me, all you workers of evil, for the Lord has heard the sound of my weeping.”

Even though we can’t tell if God has heard our prayers we know and we declare that He heard it. We know that our prayers would be answered in due time or that He has something better for us. Never lose faith! Keep on trusting in Him as we don’t know the plans that He has for us. Don’t let other people take you down! Know that God is always with us and He will never leave us.

Psalms 5 , Jan 29,2016

This chapter to me is a prayer for forgiveness, because we followed the way of the man not the way of Jesus.

This made me think about the church Psalms 5:11 “But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. This verse made me think of the church because the people who sing and dance with all of their heart know that they have taken refuge in God, whenever I see people close their eyes, smile or even cry it touches my heart and usually say “wow so this is what it means to be in refuge with God”.

“I can’t Google that” #searching

Psalm 4

“Know that the Lord has set apart the godly for Himself; the Lord will hear when I call to Him” (Psalm 4:3)

I can’t lie, I am in love with Google. God has blessed Google. Perhaps, the reason why I do love it is because you can literally search for almost ANYTHING to get you by ! It connects you to thousands of links to make your life and mine easier.

Forgive me if I am the first one to point this out. But there are stuff you just just can’t find in Google. Like perhaps where your keys are. In further depth: how to solve your own individual problems. Our own fulfillment, your personal happiness, and comfort. Perhaps, even your own identity.

On a moral standpoint, you may claim that you can search for that for yourself. However, if we lost it in the first place, does that make us qualified to search for our identity or solutions to our problem or even our happiness.

Our relationship with Christ however calls us by name and tells us who we are. We are God’s children. (I mean duh ? I could’ve told you that !)

As verse 2 claims “...how long will you love delusions and seek false gods?” (Psalm 4:2) Here is the relevance of the society: We worship women/men, other religions, and even money. So it’s no doubt that people still search for who they are, because they measure with what other people call them. David even announces this and says that our identity is not from what other’s call you to be but rather what God calls you to be ! SET APART FOR HIS GLORY (verse 3)

Psalms 3

This is about God being there for us that he's the one who is giving us life and keeping us alive. Also talks about not being afraid of anything because he will always be with us.

Verse 7: “Deliver me, my God!

Strike all my enemies on the jaw;

break the teeth of the wicked.”

This is verse is about David praying to God about his enemies and telling him to get rid of them and he did. He will also answer our prayers if we believe and trust our life in him.

Psalms 2 (Reeeally long, so didn’t insert :))

Wow I got a really detailed chapter haha. I had to google a bunch of stuff on how to interpret this chapter, but nonetheless learned a lot. I decided to briefly summarize it instead :)

It talks about who we are as a nation; with God or without Him. The chapter describes how God is the ultimate creator, His anointed people will inherit all His blessings:

“Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him”-v12

There are only 3 things that we can worship. Sin & Satan, or The Saviour. Its one or the other. Are we a slave to sin? No! Jesus already died for our salvation! That’s why we should keep in mind that we cannot let the things in this world sway us away from Him.

When we depend on the world, we will never be satisfied. When we depend on God, we will never be disappointed :)

Psalms 1:1-6 ( I wont put the whole chapter because it is too long )

verses 1-3

This verse is talking about how Righteous people does not follow the ways of the wicked and they follow the path of where God is. They read and learn from the word of God and they study and follow His teaching. They are compared to a tree that is planted beside a stream they are full of life and is produces a lot of fruit. This means that if we follow the path of what God has given to us and read his word and meditate in it day and night we will be a fruitful tree that is alive and fruitful

Verses 4-5

This verses show how the wicked people are different from them and they are compared to husk that can be carried away by the wind very easily. This means that they just go with the flow of the world. They wont be strong when it comes to the works of the enemy. IT also says in this verse that they will not stand in where the righteous stand.

verse 5

this verse is saying how the Lord knows who are the righteous and who are the wicked. In a sea of million people he will know because well He is Lord.

Psalm 51:10-12 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit. This is straight forward and does not need any further explanation but I just wanna say that in this verse that everyday we should ask God for forgiveness from all sins because God's love is new every morning because of His great faithfulness. #Donmoen #GodBless

Matthew 6:1-4 (ESV)

“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

When you give, you should always remember that you are giving because you want to or because it feels like the right thing to do and not because you want others to think that you are a good person or not because you want to show off that you have money to give away. It doesn’t matter if other people saw you give what matters is that you know that God knows everything that you did and what you actually wanted from it.

Forgiveness Through Love

“I am writing to you who are God’s children because your sins have been forgiven through Jesus.” - 1 John 2:12

I love how Jesus, despite the things we have done, said, or thought. Jesus still loved us the most to forgive us our sins. To be able to take the time to tell us that we are loved. (John 3:16)

This is actually how we know Jesus resides in our hearts. To have a peace of mind that our lives are free. We are loved by the love of Jesus Christ.

Forgiveness has been set by society that it for us, and not for the other person. For the most part, it’s true. But for God to take His time to plan out His only son’s death for us to be healed and redeemed and forgiven is really for us to realize our worth in Jesus Christ. Our worth to God !

Jesus’ forgiveness helps us to fight battles within what the world believes we are and what we really are. FORGIVEN & LOVED

For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Theme is Giving: So from this verse, Give with a pure heart and know that God will bless you abundantly! If you see a homeless person on the street begging for money or food, we shouldn't ignore the person. In ALL that we do on this earth we should be the light to the darkness and offer any acts of generosity and kindness because God is watching from above. Matthew 23

Humility: n. - the quality or state of not thinking you are better than other people

Humility is a long process. It is a perception that not a lot of people will understand until later on in life. So to be told “you are not as good as you think you are.” Really just gives an idea of someone being humbled. It hurts, but it’s truth.

So when Jesus lectures the Pharisees and tells them that, what they are doing is wrong. Why ? The Pharisee’s has been teaching the law. But what Jesus tries to explain is the importance of mercy and faith. Jesus goes on to question them and ask them, what is more important ?

“How blind! For which is more important—the gift on the altar or the altar that makes the gift sacred?” (Matthew 23:19)

“... but you ignore the more important aspects of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things.” (Matthew 23:23)

Now as I have mentioned, why mercy ? Because mercy is compassion. Mercy is being able to proclaim that you are unable to judge a person, you have failed too. Somehow in your life, you have failed too !

Imperfection is “inevitable” so we give in to humility instead. Allowing ourselves to listen to Jesus and his purpose for all of us. Put all of our hope in Him. For even we are uncertain about where we stand in world. For we know there will always be someone higher and us.

Sorry for the late devotion guys.. Hebrews 10:17 Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more." This verse reminds me of God's unconditional love.We commit so much sins and all that He is asking for is for us to repent and ask forgiveness.He is willing to forget all our careless mistakes and love us like He did from the beginning He created us.The importance of this verse is that we need to ask forgiveness from God so that our relationship with God will have no bridges. Isaiah 43:2 (ESV)

2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.

God is always with us and with Him we can do all things. God guides us and keeps us company while we face the trials that are in front of us. He gives us confidence to sometimes do somethings that you never think you will do. God’s plan for each and everyone of us is different. He tests us through all the different challenges that He gives us and He shows us a way to be able to overcome them. God has a good reason on why He give us all the challenges that we face in our daily lives. It’s for us to be able to learn more about Him and to trust Him more in guiding us to the direction that He wants us to go
