My partner's conditions aren't the best in terms of living, and they desperately want to move out as there's been repeated health hazards, such as molding food. That aside — Corpus Christi has chosen industry over its people. With the Trump regime and violence towards LGBTQ+ members, I do worry.
With that in mind, I want to open up coms once more. I am currently clearing out my older work load, so this was more a means of having no other options.
Work is scarce at the moment, +30 applications, and I've only had a job with last minute, improvised shifts. If not that, I've been ghosted.
While I am being promised with more work, it's a matter of needing my legal documents sorted out first, before I can get more than just weird odd jobs from 2 hiring agencies I applied for. I'm in a weird legal gray until then.
Excluding withdrawls / archives, I've been ghosted so often.
My passport has expired, and I need a new SSN card. I am however getting that sorted by the 3rd.
While I have money, it came from my 401k — which over half was eaten by taxes. I used a chunk to pay off university debts as well.
I've not been able to save my 401K, as it's kept me afloat.

Really, this is primarily to help keep us both afloat as a sort of rainy day fund, especially given how expensive moving is. We've spent quite some time sorting things out privately (hence my silence), budgeting, comparing options, etc.
And while I'm aware my state is... not the best in a lot of ways, I live in a moderately left leaning city with intentions to ultimately leave for safer lands.

Gaman is a Talos series model created by Magnetpulse to serve as a specialized unit commander. He in particular was once an explosive powerhouse member of Kingman's army, Gaman had long left that life behind when he turned on the Kappa King by saving an imprisoned Cotton when he believed she had nothing to do with the battle between them and the Gem Knights. This also resulted in him taking bullets and shots for them in order to protect them. One day though Gaman would wind up almost being destroyed when an escaped member of his line named "Omega Man" went in pursuit of him. Being able to be saved though in the nick of time, Gaman decided to move beyond being a weapon specialist and evolved to become a medic to heal both organic and cybernetic lifeforms.
Gaman had swapped out his rocket launchers and grenades to fit his new role as a medical officer. Aid Shooter, a weapon that can damage enemies on the battlefield, but also heals his allies in a a quick pinch. Not to mention his specialized blade for more hand-to-hand combat. And later on thanks to a battle with another robot created later in his line, he gained the ability to scan and transform into similar builds of other Talos models.
Gaman is a pretty dry, more robotic and somewhat emotionless person upon first glance. But overtime has evolved to have more visible and recognizable emotions, such as his distaste and lack of patience when someone breaks or improperly uses any of his equipment. Gaman is a kind soul, who will not hesitate to protect anyone in any case of danger.
Meet Cotton Woman: The Gem Knight's blacksmith and the wife of JR!
She was the daughter of a prominent candy manufacturer who fell in love with the red knight the first day they met when he arrived to help save her when she got in the crossfire of one of Kingman's attacks on the city.
Cotton quickly grew to become a competent fighter and a girl with a brave heart, aiding the Cherry Knight in his battle against Kingman and the King Masters. She was one day blessed with the gift of the Gemforce as well as being chosen by the Forge to be it's wielder. She used this gift to get her husband to get back on his feet after enduring a devastating injury.
Cotton has a heart of gold and will do anything to protect the innocent.
The twin brother of JR, we have Blu who is the brains of the operation. Having stood with his brother through thick and thin, JR wouldn't be the man he is today without him, and the inverse is just as true.
Alright, time to actually post on Tumblr again, starting with my main OC: JR Gemhero himself! An organic biobot with a heart of quartz! TLDR, he essentially comes from a Sol Dimension equivalent to Megaman's world.
