UK Baseball 2015 Don't miss out on our photos from UK Baseball! Check out all the photos here: You have until June 30 to order!
our last game.
Tonight was our last night having the opportunity to photograph the UK Baseball team before we relocate to Charleston, SC, and having to say my goodbyes was way harder than I ever imagined it would be.
For the last 3 years, the team has been a huge part of my life... and my career. When I first moved to KY, I immediately figured out who to contact about getting a media pass for spring 2013, and was granted one. Ever since then, I have followed a few players through the years, and have become friends with others who have come and gone. I was able to meet parents, siblings, girlfriends, and a very proud sorta-mom.
Thank y’all for always supporting me, for always making me feel welcome and for including me when we wait for players after the games.
Dylan - Please know I will always be there for you whenever you need someone to talk to... you are a great guy and I know you will accomplish your dreams. Trust yourself and I promise you will be happy. Thanks for always being there to hear about my boy problems and trying to help me with it. You da best :)
Ka’ai - I’m sorry I only got to know you for a little bit, but I am so thankful you came to UK. You are always so sweet to me, and I can’t wait to see where your future takes you. Always remember Woodford and I love you and you are more than welcome to steal Woody whenever you want!
Austin, AJ, Max & Paul - Thank y’all for helping me through that Coaching Baseball class... I can honestly say I wouldn’t have made it through without y’all.
Beggs - When I found out you were from Georgia that was one thing, but I still can’t believe you lived with Stephen freshman year... it’s such a small world! Thank you for all the laughs and Cookout trips for hot dogs. Let’s keep the fence hopping to a minimum though. Please keep in touch, and know you are always welcome in Charleston!
KB - I’ll never forget that one game you showed up to with a huge hickey on your neck.... thank you for always keeping things entertaining and for letting me steal KK from you every once in a while. You better keep her around! I’m so proud of how far you have come since freshman year, and I know you will do great in your future. Just promise me you’ll never forget about Homefry!
KK - I don’t even know where to begin. You have been by my side through all my ups and downs, and I don’t know who I would’ve gone to games with for the last 2 years if I hadn’t met you. I hate that I’m having to leave earlier than we had planned, but know I will be with you in spirit and am just a phone call or text away, and if you ever want to get out of this cold rainy weather, come on down to Charleston and we can go to the beach and hang out on the water. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me, and for supporting me with all my dreams and goals. I’m so happy that our strange paths led us to each other, but I wouldn’t change it for anything! I’m going to miss you more than you know, but just know that if you ever need any pictures of KB I’ll be there in a heartbeat.
To the Parents of Players - Thank y’all for purchasing my photos, for telling me how much you like my work, and for always be supportive of me. I hope you can find some pictures you like and hang them somewhere in your house where you will always remember your sons time playing at UK. My goal was for you to have something to remember these years by, and to capture the good, the bad, and the amazing moments that we all experienced.
To all the other players - I hope y’all have enjoyed the photos over the last few years, and I’m sorry I didn’t get to know you better. I’ve tried to capture all the emotion that you experience as a player, and I can’t explain how wonderful it makes me feel to see you post a photo on Instagram/Twitter/FB. If you ever need photos, especially if you go pro, please know I’d be more than happy to photograph that for you (Oh, and I also really love taking engagements & wedding photos for those of you who get married later on!) Keep on working hard and you will accomplish your goals, whatever they might be. Know you have a strong Wildcat Baseball Family behind you that will always love and support you with whatever you decide to do.
