Another little thing I did recently was host a styled shoot with my friends. We rallied together (photographer friends, seamstress friend, and me, floral friend) and had one of the best days! We flew through the 2 hours we had at our rental, but were having such a great time we moved to a park to shoot some more.
It was such a great experience to work with friends. Especially as we all try to grow our portfolios and try out new opportunities to be creative.
The dress my friend made was incredible. And my friend who modeled was stunning!!!
This is also the super soft launch of my floral company... that really isn't a business yet, since I don't really want to take on clients this year. But I am trying to explore what is out there for me on my own through floral design. So we will see where it takes me!

Mordecai Historic Park Wedding Shoot
Mordecai Historic Park is such a cute hidden gem nestled in the historic district of downtown Raleigh. A lot about downtown Raleigh has changed since I first moved to the Triangle, so I’m glad this is still here.
The park itself was created to commemorate the birthplace of Andrew Johnson (arguably one of the worst US presidents 🤮, botching reconstruction after the civil war and opposing the 14th amendment), and also was once the site of the largest plantation in Wake County. So obviously the park has a dark history, but I think the city has done a relatively good job of turning it around and making it a real educational tool and community center.
The park has several historic buildings, one of which is an adorable chapel.
I'm a river goddess/forest sprite and you all need to refer and speak to me as such from now on thank you.
