A thousand of lifetimes ago, a boy and a girl fell in love. But it was the kind of love that was forbidden the most. It was like when the Sun is not allowed to be with the Moon, or when Life can not stay with Death, or when Light will never be permitted to exist with Darkness. The boy and the girl made a lot of enemies, including Fate, Hope and even Time. But there’s one that chose to be on their side, it was Love. It was Love who made a promise to the boy and the girl that no matter what happens they will be together for the rest of their lives. But though they trusted Love, the boy and the girl felt scared and worried. Hope didn’t want them to believe. Fate showed them a different choice. Time told them they were never meant to be. The boy and the girl began to feel sadness and sorrow, until one day, they decided to end their story. The boy never became cheerful and happy again. The girl cried all day, and all night. They got angry at Love and they blamed it for their heart’break.

“You told us, we will be together.” said the boy.

“You didn’t keep your promise.” cried the girl.

Love saw how devastated the boy and the girl was. They love each other but it did not become enough. Love was sad as it told them, “You need to fight for me, and you need to believe me. If what you feel is true, you will never give up.”

But the boy and the girl did not know what to do. They want to be together but everything is against them. 

Then Love suddenly disappeared. They boy and the girl tried to find it, but it was gone. They felt more heartbroken. It was only Love who chose to stay by their side and now it has abandoned them. And they stopped waiting.

Many years passed. They boy and the girl, since Love left, never saw one another again. They were living in two different worlds where distance and new things and people made them forget about each other. They were happy and both have mended their broken hearts they thought would never be repaired. They have accepted the truth of their tragic past. They thought, perhaps they were not really meant to be.

Then one day, the boy and the girl, met at a crossroad. It’s been a very long time. They noticed how much have changed. They saw what has gone and what is now new. They realized they may not be the same person they were before. But the boy and the girl felt strange. They began to wonder why Fate suddenly brought them together. Then Fate said, “You two met again because Love asked me to make it happen.”

The boy and the girl suddenly remembered Love, and they’d never thought how much they miss it. They smiled at each other and they felt happy, it was the similar happiness they used to have before. 

Then the boy and the girl, met again, and again, and again. Fate told them, they’re finally on their side. And suddenly, Hope appeared. They boy and the girl were really intrigued. Why would Hope favors them this time? Hope has an answer. “I want you to understand that I was never against you, I just had to make you believe you weren’t meant to be.”

“Then why now, you’re giving us the same belief and hope that we had?”

Hope smiled. “Because Love asked me to.”

It was Love again. The boy  and the girl thanked Fate and Hope, and they decided to search for love. They looked everywhere but it was nowhere to be found. Then they decided to wait, hoping that Love would finally come around.

The boy and girl, started falling in love again. The two separate worlds they have built were beginning to collide and form as one. The fear and loneliness and hopeless they had before, is now gone. And as they kiss, Time appeared. The boy and the girl was surprised and felt frightened that Time might bring them apart again. But Time did not. Time was cheerful. “I now give you my blessing.” Time told them. 

“Why?” The boy and the girl asked.

“Because Love asked me.”

The boy and the girl couldn’t be happier. Finally, they were allowed to be together. They promised Hope, Fate and Time that they will do everything to make their love last. And that no matter what happens, they will fight for it.

One their wedding day, the boy and the girl prayed that love would appear. They wanted to say sorry and thank you for what it did. They didn’t have enough faith in it before and they felt responsible of why it left.

Then Love appeared and gave them the warmest embrace thy have longed for. The boy and the girl were grateful and they cried of joy and contentment. They apologized to Love for what they did.

“We’re sorry we gave up. We’re sorry we stopped believing in you.”

Love was never mad at them. “I told you, you will be together. It was just a matter of waiting for the right moment. You had to have let Fate do its work, and Hope to give you what you need and Time to finally bring you together.”

“We now understand,” said the boy and the girl. “Thank you, Love. But where have you been all these years?”

Love gave them a wink. “I was doing my job, for you to not lose each other. As I have told you before when I first decided to take your side, I always do find a way.”

And since then, no one doubted what true Love could do.

Doodle

I drew on a wooden desk

Chinese pigs with curly tails, to a limousine made out of a noodle,

To guitar strings knotted repeatedly,

To kings and knights with potato heads and mushroom hair,

To trees that grown into a moon where laughing witches sat, drank and talked over errors the universe could make, 

To an ocean that could carry thousand struggles, and so on.

But the sky has always been my favorite drawing board, 

Where i could draw every detail of you, better than i pattern the constellations

A chance it’d give, a hope it’d cover.

We create visions that we long to live in,

I’ve always viewed JULIELMO as one. Yes, I love Julie and Elmo individually but I love them more as a tandem. I don’t know how they do it but I’m completely head over heels with this love team up until now. I wish that one day I will be able to watch them perform in one stage again. I won’t definitely miss that day coz it’s always been better when they are together.
