I took part in my first Makers Fair yesterday. It was in St George’s in Kemptown,Brighton. I talked to lots of people and sold lots of cards. It was really good fun!
These two little paintings have gone to new homes.
It’s cold outside but nice and warm with my new paints. Happy Wednesday everyone!
New paints. I ordered them from iartsupplies in Dundee on Thursday and they are here this morning(Saturday). Many thanks to them and to Royal Mail.
I am looking forward to taking part in The Makers Fair in St George’s Chapel in Kemptown in Brighton on March 5th 2022.
I’ve also been invited to join in an Open House.
Better crack open those paints....
My Shop is a Open!
After the success of my exhibition at the Fishing Quarter Gallery in Brighton in 2021 I am planning to do fairs and to sell my cards through shops in 2022.
I am also continuing with my online shop. I am selling original works as well. They are framed and are no bigger than A4 in size.
I will be posting recent work on Instagram as usual.
Any enquiries via my website or on Instagram.
Best of luck every body in 2022!
Happy New Year!!!
We took a chance on a trip to New York. We started with breakfast at the Ritz Diner and finished with the Ball Drop on Time Square. We saw David Byrne at the St James Theatre on Broadway. We saw a ton of art and I ice skated at the Wolman Rink on Boxing Day. We spent time with family and had a massive red snapper on New Year’s Eve. We had Estonian Sausage on Christmas Eve. My Christmas Day Yorkshire Pudding was a triumph.
It was a great start to 2022.
This is my exhibition on the first morning. It’s been very lively this weekend. I’ve sold a lot of pictures and cards and met lots of new people.
Here it is. I’m looking forward to this, my first exhibition for nearly 30 years. A lot has happened in that time, mostly good.
I am selling my cards and the original works will be up on the walls. For sale obvs.xxx
This is a picture based on Ponte Sartorio in Venice. It is oilpastel on hand made paper and it’s going to be on sale in my exhibition for £150. It goes well with Nigel’s shirt. My exhibition is at the Fishing Quarter Gallery in Brighton. Starting on July 23rd and finishing on 28th July 2021.
New cards arrived today. These are going to Newcastle with another four packs. I am going to be selling the cards singly at my exhibition. I will continue selling the packs of four online.
I’ve added new cards to my shop. These gouache paintings were done from memory and from drawings when we came back from Granada, Marrakesh and Tarifa. #gouache#tarifa#marrakesh#smallpaintings#A5#judywigin#havefun https://www.instagram.com/p/CPVSTMkpiRs/?utm_medium=tumblr
Sold! We’ve started work on framing for my exhibition at the Fishing Quarter Gallery in July. This one will be there with a red dot on it. #fishingquartergallery#smallworks#venice#collage#blue https://www.instagram.com/p/CPSbTetJuzN/?utm_medium=tumblr
I’ve added two new packs of cards. One from Venice and one from Berlin. The original images are on A4 paper, using oilpastels. They are based on drawings I did while I was out and about.
We were in Venice over the winter so had the pleasure of travelling on the vaporettos in darkness with inky water, quiet seagulls and dim lights, restaurants lighted up.
Berlin, as I’ve said, was hot, hot, hot. The picture I’ve called Hot City was done with melting oil pastels on a day when the temperature was over 40 degrees centigrade. It’s rather a bilious green.
I’m making up some new packs of cards. I want to put more images from Berlin in. Berlin was boiling hot when we were there in summer 2019. It is a city of lakes and swimming pools though so it turned out to be a good place to be in a heatwave. This is Plötzensee which was a twenty minute Ubahn then tram ride from our flat in Leipziger Strasse.
I have booked an exhibition at The Fishing Quarter Gallery down on the seafront in Brighton. It will be from 22nd to 28th July 2021. I will be promoting and selling my cards and showing the original pictures as well.
