@juicyjawn
15 years later and I just logged back into Tumblr like… y’all still alive on here or did we all just collectively abandon our teenage personalities in a dusty draft folder 😭
because why does it still feel like 2am, sad playlists, soft grunge, and typing feelings you’d never say out loud
except now I’m grown, healed (a little), fine as hell, and still got thoughts I shouldn’t post but will anyway
so what did I miss…
who broke y’all hearts
who healed
who pretending they okay
and who still romanticizing pain like it’s a personality trait
anyways I’m back.
unfortunately for y’all, I have range now.

“When you lose something, don’t think of it as a loss. Accept it as the gift that gets you on the path you were meant to travel on.”

I want new friends. Like all new energy, all new people around me
7 Tips for Overcoming Feelings of Inadequacy
1. Remind yourself that you are not who other people think or say you are.
2. Remind yourself that everybody makes mistakes at times, has areas of weakness, and things they want to change.
3. Remind yourself of ways in which you’ve grown and changed with time. You’re not who you once were - so celebrate how far you’ve come.
4. Also, the ending isn’t written and the future isn’t fixed. You’re free to change your image, and an old identity.
5. Identify the lies you have believed about yourself – and work on changing them so they’re more accurate and true. Also, don’t reinforce those lies by acting like you think they’re true.
6. Remember that your feelings are not the same as facts. Don’t live based on your feelings as that will keep you trapped.
7. Hang out with those who see, and who appreciate, your worth. And take their words to heart, and let them help to build you up.
“How to be more Self-Disciplined”
—
1. Choose to act, or to do what you should you. Don’t wait until you feel that you are in the right mood.
2. Decide to keep on going, and to finish what you’ve started. Don’t allow yourself to give up when you’re only part way through.
3. Be honest with yourself and call yourself on the excuses. They’re often just a cover for not wanting to do something.
4. Plan ahead and break large goals down into smaller, short-term goals – and put these on a calendar, and tick them off each day.
5. Remind yourself how great you’ll feel when later you’ve achieved and reached the goals you set yourself, and have that better life.
6. Also, distinguish what’s important and will matter down the road, from what is temporary – or seems worthwhile in the moment.
7. Try not to be distracted by the things that eat up time - like gaming, watching movies or just hanging out with friends.
8. Hang out with other people who display self-discipline, and understand the value of working hard right now.
Habits of Highly Effective People
1. Cut out everything that’s unimportant and seek to focus on what matters in your life.
2. Make sure you include frequent breaks in your schedule as we’re more productive when we work in shorter blocks.
3. Get rid of all distractions when you sit down to work. Also, work somewhere quiet where you won’t be found!
4. No matter what you do, it’s essential that you seek to keep on developing your creativity. When we feel inspired, working doesn’t take much effort as we’re in the flow and feeling good about ourselves.
5. Try to make the most of those pockets of time that we tend to waste when we’re hanging around.
6. Don’t let other people distract you from your course. At the end of the day, it is your life not theirs. You need to be committed and true to yourself.
How to Choose a Career
1. Think about what you really enjoy. What brings you alive? What could you do for hours – even if you weren’t paid to do it?
2. What do others say you’re good at? Sometimes we’re blind to our gifts and strengths but usually other people will comment on them. What do others notice, and constantly affirm?
3. What’s your work style? Do you prefer a more structured environment? Do you prefer to work with other people or on your own? Do you like to follow guidelines and be told the rules, or do you likely to be creative and have autonomy?
4. Where would you like to work? In a hospital, in a school, in an office, in your own home? Would you prefer the type of job where you travel frequently, and perhaps to different countries all around the world?
5. How important is money to you? Are you content with “just enough” or do you want to earn a huge amount? Do you want a regular and predictable monthly income or would you prefer that your salary was based on bonuses and commission?
6. How important is the work-life balance to you? Some careers require you to work long hours, to travel on a whim, and to put your projects first. Others give employees more flexibility. They let you choose your hours and the days when you will work.
7. How do you feel about having to work shifts, on evenings, at weekends, or on public holidays? There are many careers that require you to do that.
8. How well do you function under pressure and stress? Again, decide if that is something that you mind in a career.
I’m too raw for a mf to be unsure about me.
