It's crazy how much time we spend stressing over things in life. We spend all of high school working our butts off to get into good colleges. Then we literally have break downs every week (well at least I do) trying to get perfect gpas in college so we can get good jobs. But in five years I'm not going to give two shits about the math test I studied for for two weeks and cried over. We spend so much time stressing about so many stupid things and we literally tear ourselves down. Last Thursday I went to Toronto to see the Weeknd perform and it was AMAZING. I was 15 rows from one of my favorite artist and made so many memories with one of my best friends. It was nice not worrying about homework and tests and to just let go and enjoy myself. I don't want to remember my college years as me stressing out and break downs. I want to continue doing spontaneous things. I think my happiness is a lot more important than some test. Yeah, getting good grades is nice and obviously would make me happy but I feel like I stress too much. I promised myself I'm going to do something fun each month and take time out to just focus on myself and my health. I've recently got a second job and I work sometimes twice a day, everyday. I'm realizing that I am not spending enough time taking care of myself. I planned a trip to NYC in two months with my best friends and I think that's exactly what I need. I'm setting a goal to save money that I can spend on myself and it will be great being able to spoil myself. Basically I just want to create more memories throughout college that are better than me getting an A on a test. I want to walk out of college and into the real world being happy and not stressing over another thing.
