That's quite the understatement!
Friendly reminder that despite Annie Cresta being perceived as “mentally unstable” she, along with Peeta Mellark, was the only one to vote no against the slaughtering of innocent Capitol children in the 76th Hunger Games.
This has been a “Why Annie Cresta is Better Than You” advertisement
Annie is the best

Rhaegar, the Dragon Prince, who would have been King; with a fair and kind Queen in Elia of Dorne. They would have brought great peace and justice to the land. Beside him, a True Knight in Ser Arthur Dayne, gallant and great, and his sister, Ashara, of curious mind and such beauty, and a true friend to the Princess. Finally, another friend like a brother, Jon Connington, who dared harder than any other man, and would sit at Rhaegar’s side and be Hand.
It could have been, it should have been.
They were friends, and they were fools… And they were young, remember that they were young, and forgive them their mistakes and their emotions, for they thought spring had come.

Thanks brain.
That Finnick won his Games by being attractive enough that he received a ridiculously expensive weapon, which he then proceeded to use by trapping people with nets and then stabbing them when they couldn’t escape.
That Finnick is a funny, loving man who would have and did happily die in order to...

Starks, why so stupid?
as part of an upcoming series I’m working on.
This is poetry. I'd like to read this series.
Besides the fact that this is absolutely beautiful, this fits perfectly with the Finnick that lives in my mind: I always believed he was a poet or at least he likes poetry.
It seems that some thinks the poem he recited during his interview was not directed to Annie (why?) or that he isn't good at writing poetry or both.
I admit that in the movie the poem was short and quite dull, but in the book I got the impression it was longer and far more interesting. So after reading CF I thought it was his way to show his feelings.
We know very well his situation, so I thought : "Well, he always lies when he is in Capitol, so maybe when he is at home he is frustrated and angry and sad and whatever and he makes poetry about his true feelings towards the hunger games and the capitol, about his love for Annie, about the pain of losing is family, about the horror of being a tribute/mentor etc."
Obviously I think that these poems were not in the public domain, he wrote these poems for himself and maybe only Annie could read them, but however it was his way to express his feelings and calm down. A lot of victors turned to drugs or alcohol after their own games, but no one says what Finnick did to manage this. It leads to :
1) He is stronger than anyone else
2) Mags and Annie support him a lot
3) He found an alternative way to calm down and carry on
This is my headcanon
(Sorry about the rant, when I started this post I meant to compliment the author. I don't know how I ended up here...)
And my tv series on DVD ….. I have to go rethink my life.
I know what you mean :')
"How high, how low, how on your own Are you gonna get? Because Losing your soul, will cost you more Than the life you’re paying for All that glitter and all that gold Won’t buy you happy When you’ve been bought and sold Riding white horses, you can’t control With all your glitter And all of your gold Take care of your soul One day you’re gonna wake up and find that New dream is losing its shine and Nobody is by your side When the rain comes down and you’re losing your mind So, who you gonna run to? Where you gonna hide? Glitter and gold Won’t keep you warm On those lonely nights"
Why everything reminds me of Finnick, Cashmere and all the other pretty victors?
People: "I don't understand why Finnick and Annie are together. Johanna makes just more sense to me"
People: "Annie is just a freaky mad girl. Why is Finnick in love with her?"
