Japanese breakfast at the snow. The dumplings were amazing.
The skier was even nice enough to stand still while I took the panorama!
We had one clear, sunny day during the trip and it was just beautiful ☀️
Walking in a winter wonderland ❄️
It may have been freezing, but this duck soba warmed me right up!
Journey to the station from our Kyoto home was turned into a horrific quest by all the SNOW
Ninja dinner! Ft. edible throwing stars, bamboo charcoal, black pork and a mid dinner magic performance.
Great lunch ft. white bean cake ✨
Lego model of Kyoto station that we found on one of the basement levels!
Sashimi and chicken karaage 😋
Hot lunch to distract from the Himeji cold.
Beautiful Himeji Castle! It was extremely cold when we were there (who would’ve thought a very old castle wouldn’t have heating huh) and the place is filled with the steepest stairs ever. Only bumped my head once, though.
Sashimi & sushi for dinner 👌
Overview of Ginkakuji
Ginkakuji, otherwise known as the quote ‘silver’ pavilion. I preferred the rock garden - even got to see a gardener in action raking the rocks into place! Also got to make a wish by throwing a coin into the pond. (I only threw one yen, so it’s probably not gonna come true.)
