Hakuba has very cut and dry diologue, but this is starkly contrasted by his bold faishion choices. Hakuba is just so flamboyant and cunty and i mean that in the most endearing way .

Hakuba clutched his heart, not minding how his elbow bumped into Hirugami. “I can’t believe it, my crush is here to see our game!”

Hirugami frowned, looking between his teammate and the crowd to pinpoint who drew Hakuba’s attention until he smirked as he figured it out. Oh, this is so funny.

Hakuba Gao had taunted Hoshiumi Korai about his height so much that even Hoshiumi’s ancestors could feel it. It was close to his favourite pastime, and now he would pay for it.

“The third year?” Hakuba nodded. “The one standing between Hoshiumi’s mother and brother?” He nodded again. “The one cheering for Hoshiumi?” Hakuba shook out of his daze and frowned at Hirugami, who clapped him on the back. “Hoshiumi’s sister.”

All colour drained from his face. Just as the realisation settled in his gut, Hoshiumi strutted past them to wave excitedly at his family, flitting like a little bird.

“His sister?”

Hirugami nodded and smiled much too happily, nearly giddy from the sheer devastation on Hakuba’s face. “Yup.”

“But they’re not that close, right?”

Just as they both turned back to you, you had gotten up from your seat to wave back at your brother. “Let’s fucking goooo!” you yelled, silenced only by the rest of your family bringing you back down into your seat.

Satisfied with this boost, Hoshiumi turned to his teammates with a grin, only to be very confused at their expressions.

“What happened to you?” he asked Hakuba, who seemed to have lost all gumption.

“Nothing,” Hakuba squeaked in a way you wouldn’t expect from a man of his stature. Hirugami covered his mouth to hide his laugh, but it wasn’t very successful.

“Hakuba was just telling me-“

“How glad I am that you’re on my team, Hoshiumi!” Hakuba interrupted in the nick of time. “We’re sure to win.”

Hoshiumi raised an eyebrow. “Oookay…” he hummed before swiftly removing himself from the possible shapeshifter to discuss something with their setter.

That was only the beginning. Hakuba had to start being nice to Hoshiumi if he wanted a chance with you.
