From Womb to World Animation

A one minute animation created for The Milky Life  about the baby’s experience and feelings living in mum’s womb and then coming out into the world and the closeness the baby can feel again with mum during feeding/skin to skin time.

I have had the pleasure of creating these amongst other resources/ posts for the The Milky Life. My client is a Midwife, Neonatal Nurse and an IBCLC, (Lactation Consultant) based in Brighton & Hove. These are two examples of some of the work I have created for her to fit in with her brand and calm, and earthy colour scheme.

Logo design for Pretty Shiny Shop

Pretty Shiny Shop is an independent gift shop in Finsbury Park, London. The shop is filled with jewellery, cards, homewares and whatever else catches their magpie sensibilities. With the shop owner we managed to create a new logo to reflect the shops nature.

With two different versions a round design which could go on things like the shops door, paper bags, Instagram and Facebook avatar icons. As well as a long horizontal design that could go on top of the website page.

Illustrations for the The Cow Who Said Meow 

I got to create illustrations for a story that would be featured in the app Fonetti. The story was about a cow who said “Meow” instead of “Moo”. Story was written by Kevin Jones and then illustrated by me. 

Illustrations made in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

More about Fonetti. The app works just like audio and eBooks do – it’s portable, digital and easy to use but it has the added bonus that it provides interactive reading. Fonetti listens to the child reading. When they get the words right, they turn green, if they get stuck, they simply double tap for a clue.

It perfects their pronunciation, boosts their literacy and builds their confidence with every page they turn.
