Here you are the present I bought for my mum this last weekend. Though her birthday is in August, I could not resist to buy this amazing and complete hands treatment. I had the opportunity to meet the sweet Isabel Pita, beauty counsellor at Mary Kay's. She invited me to a skin care atelier and she introduced me into this important cosmetics firm, one of the most important ones in USA. This pack consists of three great products for a 3 steps treatment that will take you only 5 minutes of your time everyday. First, you apply a very moisturizing paraffin to soften and prepare your skin. After that, you will scrub your hands with a gentle and nice gel . Then, you remove this product with warm water and you finish with a very sumptuous but not greasy balsam. Not to forget the fantastic peach scent. Just adorable! I hope my mom likes it as much as I do. Os presento el regalo que le he comprado a mi mami para su cumple. Aunque no los cumple hasta agosto, no me pude resistir a comprar este completo tratamiento para las manos. Hi sweeties! Here I am around again. I have decided to dedicate this post to Steampunk aesthetics. Do you know what Steampunk refers to and the origins of this movement? Steampunk refers to a subrenge of science fiction and sometimes fantasy that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steampowered machinery. Such technology might include machines like those found in the novels written by Jules Verne, Mary Shelley or H.G. Wells. Steampunk may also include elements from the genres of fantasy or horror. This movement has also been reflected in fashion and it is a mixture of the Victorian era´s romantic view of science in literature and elements from the Industrial Revolution in Europe. This fashion is designed with a post-apocalyptic inspiration and it is influenced by the fashion of 19th century. For women, this fashion was dominated by long, floral embroidery dresses and bustiers that extended over the hips. This aesthetics is a mixture of the looks of soldiers, explorers, countesses with burlesque, fetichist and vampiric influences. You can perfectly see the Gothic touch in this fashion, that is something I personally love. I really like the combination of long skirts with tight bustiers , Gothic-style hat and ankle-length booties, as I show in the outfit styled above. I also reckon it is difficult to dress nowadays in a total Steampunk way for many reasons but if you love this style as much as I do, you will always find the way to combine certains elements of your outfit to get a post-apocalyptic Victorian touch. He decidido dedicar este post a la estética Steampunk. ¿Sabéis los orígenes de este movimiento y a qué hace referencia? Steampunk se refiere al subgénero de la ciencia ficción y en ocasiones, fantasía que incorpora la tecnología y diseños estéticos inspirados en la maquinaria industrial a vapor inventada en el siglo XIX. Dicha tecnología incluiría máquinas como aquellas encontradas en las novelas escritas por Julio Verne, Mary Shelley o H.G.Wells. El Steampunk puede incluir también elementos de los géneros de la fantasía o el terror. Esta corriente también ha sido reflejada en la moda y es una mezcla de un punto de vista de la romántica era Victoriana de la literatura y elementos de la Revolución Industrial en Europa. Esta moda se inspira en ideas post-apocalípticas y se basa en la moda del siglo XIX. Para las mujeres, esta moda se basa en largos vestidos con flores y brocados así como corpiños ajustados que se alargan sobre las caderas. Esta estética se inspira en los looks de soldados, exploradores, condesas con un toque burlesque, fetichista e influencias vampíricas. Puedes perfectamente observar el toque gótico en esta corriente que es algo que personalmente me encanta. Me fascina la combinación de largas faldas con estrechos corpiños, sombreros de ala de estilo gótico y botines, tal y como he reflejado en mi diseño en la parte superior. Considero que hoy en día es difícil vestir con un "total" look Steampunk por diferentes razones pero si te gusta este estilo tanto como a mí, encontrarás la manera de combinar ciertos elementos de tu outfit para conseguir un toque Victoriano post-apocalíptico.
