After months of planning and saving money for it, they were finally there: Disneyland. It was supposed to be a trip for Dal’s birthday, but they couldn’t work around their schedules, so here they were, taking advantage of Thanksgiving’s long weekend (sorry, mom!) and finally taking a much needed break from real life. Not that Tom was complaining, but as of lately, with Trump’s impeachment investigations going on, he found himself taking weekly trips to DC to work on stories and since Dal was doing extra work because her boss had a new baby, their time together had been reduced a little. But it was alright. At least they were together now.

Thomas had decided to take a car, so they could make a few stops along the way and appreciate the trip. After checking in on their hotel room and showering, Tom ran downstairs to buy them some Mickey years while Dal finished getting dressed, then went back into their room.

“Alright, miss birthday girl. According to your planning, what should we do first?”

Coming to Disneyland was a dream came true, ever since she moved to America, she had wanted to come here but having a new and demanding job, plus, her much needed new family, she just couldn’t find the time for it and now with Thomas by her side, it seemed like the perfect way to celebrate her birthday, even if the real date had already passed, Tom was making one of her dreams come true. After an exhausting but lovely trip, she took a shower and got dressed, finding herself with no idea where Tom had gone but taking the time to expand the map she had gotten of the park over their bed and marking all the places she needed to see. Aka, all the places where she could take pictures with the Disney characters.

“I’m not birthday girl anymore” She giggled when Tom walked into their room. “Where were you?” She asked, focused on her task. “I like all the games and rides but I need to find these characters and get pictures with them, so we should just go wherever we want first and then find them, like a treasure hunting except that it’s Princess Aurora and Mickey Mouse hunting instead”

Dal thought these conversations were only in lame teenage movies, but here they were, actually discussing who loved each other more. And of course, Dal thought she had the upper hand in this. Dal couldn’t help but giggle at his words “That’s very wide, Tom, I don’t think you should be saying those things” She added because well, whatever included pretty much everything and anything she could think of. She covered her face, embarrassed. “When you put it like that I get embarrassed” Because well, that was exactly what she was talking about, about sending half-naked pictures of herself, how daring, Dal was much more naive and shy than that. “I’m feeling well now though” She whispered, looking at him through her fingers. “I feel like a honry teenager too, I’m glad it’s not just me”
