Parkthur is so funny to me because their relationship feels like it could be the core of its own (heavily queer coded) show. Alcoholic depressed widower who killed his daughter by accident meets a hard boiled detective trying to look out for him?? The detective literally asks around for info about him and tries to get to know him???? The two keep meeting unspokenly????? Turns our the depressed widower didn't love his wife and that the relationship felt "wrong" for him??? Widower and detective guy do eventually grow close? They quite literally balance eachother out??? THEY END UP AS PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR PARTNERS AND END UP LIVING TOGETHER?????

That sounds like a beautiful complex slow burn... But in practice Parker fucking dies before the first episode of the actual show and Arthur becomes life long yaoi besties with his killer LMAO
